How to put on or wear ski pole straps so you lower the chances of injury in a fall. Side note: Some people also suggest not using the straps at all when tree-skiing as hidden roots or branches or other debris can grab the ski pole's basket and yank it backwards hard enough to dislocate your arm. That's good advice and and If I'm running a planned trip through the trees I'll usually just grip over the top of my straps. Of course I shot this video on a whim just as I turned off a groomed run to connect to another run by going through some trees, so maybe not the best backdrop in the video to demonstrate this...lol
