There is so much wrong with this commercial that I can’t even begin to comprehend it. My main issue comes down to the implications of a universe in which inanimate objects, such as spoons, can have sentience is a concept with many fundamental issues. First of all, the thought of an inanimate spoon is only the framework for a plethora of real-world issues. Having a spoon criticize and belittle you for the simple task of food consumption can be devastating for many, especially those who are insecure about their eating habits. Many could end up developing eating disorders and even stop eating because of the constant harassment from the spoon. Of course, not to dismiss the perspective of the spoon itself. You would have to lie in a cold, dark drawer, piled between the bodies of several other spoons. This also shows that they have no life outside of serving humanity. Were they genetically crafted? Or were they born with the ecosystem? Not to mention how this spoon in particular refers to following a contract. Are his kind born to serve one specific role in society for the rest of their lives? Then chances are, they should have some incentive to do so. Perhaps eating the food from the owner is their reward? The only issue with that, however, is that it goes against the purpose of the spoon. Their god is supposed to take in what they worked hard for and give nothing back, as this is a capitalist world. Of course, soap and water could be given to them while washing the dishes, but that would taste like shit, as seen by how the spoon responds to the taste of yogurt the same way a human typically would. Does the existence of a talking spoon imply the existence of other sentient objects, ala Beauty & the Beast? For example: a pair of underwear could suck you if it wanted to. One final gripe I have is with the implications of spoons having internal organs. Where do they shit? How is the food able to fit within his hollow form? Can you feel his warm flesh pulsate as his lungs inflate and deflate? Can you rub his handle and make him produce more yogurt?

One thing worth mentioning, is the fact that the spoon is capable of speech. This implies that there must be at least some sort of society or culture that the spoons have develop, or at least are capable of developing. It also implies that the spoon is of reasonably high intelligence, since it's able to communicate in understandable English, which can employ several thousands of different words with similar or converse meaning. Do spoon tribes exist? Would they survive on their own? Are they able to cooperate with each other? Another thing about their anatomy, how would that even work? The spoon is clearly supposed to be made out of metal, though they can be from other materials like wood or plastic. Only a select few animals in the animal kingdom take advantage of the benefits of metals, such as the iron-reinforced teeth of beavers. Do these spoons work the same way, or is the metal some sort of organic tissue? If so, is it considered ethical to be harvesting this material in the wild? Wouldn't it be considered mass genocide, or at least some sort of breach in the ecosystem to be harvesting metals in such large quantities like in our reality? Or perhaps the outside of the spoon is composed of metal, similarly to a shell, while there are soft and delicate organs on the inside. If so, where does the brain even rest? The head of the spoon is clearly only a millimeter thick, therefore not leaving much space for any advanced organs. Lastly, assuming that the spoon in the Ski Yogurt Universe is crafted the same way as in reality, wouldn't a spoon - with the same level of sentience as the one shown in the video - see us as gods? Much like tribes, it's quite typical to have an all-knowing, almighty and powerful being such as a God for them to worship. This has many moral and ethical considerations. Is it ethical or moral to create a life. only for our own benefit? After all, its' limbless body cannot do anything by itself, leaving its fate at the mercy of us, humans. Is it moral or ethical to discard a spoon, after we deem it "not worthy" of being a part of our household? Is a spoon worthy of proper burial? How do spoons deal with grief/loss?

But if they had contracts that means they must have punishments. My theory is that this commercial was a reenactment of something that happened before and the commercial was the spoon’s punishment for eating yogurt. Living in a word where spoons can eat your food is bound to have restrictions. The human holding the spoon must’ve wanted the spoon to get in trouble, thus why he isn’t speaking. He doesn’t want to say anything that would get him in trouble. There is also possibility that the human holding the spoon is also the narrator. The slogan could also be a clue to this theory, the narrator is saying that the yogurt should be thick smooth and creamy, or eaten by a spoon. Further evidence points that there are 2 or more cups of yogurt, because the mango cup is the one that the human used before and they had to use another cup for making the ad. Now people keep talking about how creepy this commercial is. I’m saying it’s creepy because it’s the spoon’s punishment. He talks in a thick Australian accent, has realistic facial features and is forced to gulp yogurt while it’s being watched by other people. Now I have one question, how does the spoon jump without legs? He couldn’t have any bone structure in his body that would help him jump because all that would is just push him down, so how? Edit: I realized when the main spoon was being pulled out of the silverware drawer, the other utensils looked fairly normal. This could mean that this spoon is just extremely abnormal. The idea that I have is that all spoons and other utensils are alive, they live without a face though. They gave this one a face in order to show more expression, as it would be more entertaining.

I could make some kind of joke like everyone else is, but to be completely honest, this actually looks pretty good! Sure, the CGI is primitive, but the way this commercial transitions from the real spoon to this 3D spoon is actually smooth, and I think this might be one of the earliest examples of this kind of effect taking place in a CGI-animated project, let alone in a commercial!

In the summer of '95, Stuart U. Tennisle was hired to do a commercial for a food company. When he signed the contract and later being filmed, he was promised he would face cereal as a prop. But instead was provided with yoghurt. This wasn't shown or seen in the contract he signed leading to a big controversy. Now this yoghurt contained 50lbs of Ionized uranium, which is highly lethal and radioactive and could possibly mutate and kill a human, or spoon. The yoghurt caused Stuart to speak gibberish and nonsense for the camera, complimenting the texture of the yoghurt. The food company was later shut down for health inspecting and was discountinued in 1998. Australian Spoon County Police (A.S.C.P) later announced that Stuart U. Tennisle was dead after 3 years of radiation exposion. Kyshen U. Tennisle always had suspicons on Stuart's work place. R.I.P Stuart U. Tennisle You will always serve as our iconic fallen spoon. 🥄
