Thanks for this is a helpful review! I have a free subscription to Skoove that came with a DP purchase. I would describe myself as an advanced beginner. I hoped to use the app to practice sight reading through learning simple songs. I don’t think the app is great for that because it doesn’t give you the whole sheet music and it is difficult to just skip to and repeat just those bits of the piece you need to practice. Also some of the arrangements for the popular songs feel a bit stilted and without expression so even playing along with the song doesn’t feel satisfying. Overall I would just say it’s ok even at my level.

You are right, JB! In Skoove you can't see the whole sheet. If you want to train sight-reading, I can recommend Piano Marvel. In this software you can see the sheet, print it and they have amazing sigh-reading tool called SASR. Here is my review: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sY2fvY6loZyEhGU

I got a free Roland account and through that was able to get a 3-month paid subscription. I just started; I am a beginner. I like that it is via the computer rather than phone, as the screen is larger. I am using a trial version of Simply Piano, which I enjoy, but I sometimes have difficulty reading notes on my phone.

Thank's for your comment, Michele! Well, I think it is much better to use Skoove and other piano learning apps on iPad, tablet or desktop thanks to the bigger screen. Playing with mobile phones seems to be uncomfortable.

Thank you for this review! I can't stand websites that only have chunks of songs and will pass this one by...

Hi Thanks for the review. I am PGS user. What I am missing in the PGS is the accompaniment learning. Does Skoove contain this important part of piano playing? Thanks, Yehuda

Hi there! Since I know, Skoove doesn't have some special course for accompaniment. If you are looking for piano lessons for singers, try Pianote (bestmusiccourses.com/pianote/) or Udemy (bit.ly/2PbHVCi).

I want to hear clear and precise a metronome where I can adjust the speed. If this is missing then the whole app is not professional is B.S. ... Without Metronom I never have a control how I play...

Hi! Can this SKOOVE allow to use 2 users with just one subscription, like in simply piano. My son and I can use it.

Hi Sandra, since I know, Skoove doesn't have a family account. But I think once you have your account, and your son has the login details, he can use it, too...but not at the same time like you.

As a user of Skoove, I agree, I am a complete beginner, yet, I feel even if I finish all the courses of Skoove I will not be what I aspire to be as a pianist although, it is a great app to kickstart

Yes Akiru, I also think that Skoove is great app for starting with the piano. But if you want to improve your skills as an intermediate pianist, there are better online courses or apps.

I think Piano Marvel is the best app for classical music...watch full review here:kzitem.info/news/bejne/sY2fvY6loZyEhGU (They have a great sight-reading tool as well as tons of piano pieces for intermediate and advanced pianists) For learning pop piano I recommend Playground Session: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uZWt2GGeb6yGiag Flowkey, Skoove, and Yousician are in my opinion only for beginners and slightly intermediate musicians
