#101: Sheogorath made a bet with Vermina regarding one of Vermina's folowers. for three nights, vermina sent vivid nightmares of horrific imagery to the follower, which he incorporated into his art, in an attempt to make everyone hate him. And while some found the work disturbing, many found it inspiring. Come Sheo's turn, he did nothing. The follower grew restless and insane as his inspiration ran dry, and he renounced his affiliation with Vermina. Sheogorath won a bet by doing NOTHING

Sheogorath was considered bad alongside with the other 3 corners of the House of Troubles (Molag Bal, Mehrunes Dagon and Malacath), because they rebelled against the Tribunal. Prior to Nerevar's death and the rise of the Tribunal, the Chimer worshipped the Daedra generally with Azura, Boethiah and Mephala being in the center of focus.

Hey, just discovered your channel tonight, and I just wanted to say that you create some really great content. Hope you get a better mic soon, as the mic you have makes it sound like you're lisping (or exacerbates a lisp that you may or may not have), but other than that, it's great stuff. Heck, the mic/lisp thing was only even an issue for me at first, but by the end of the first video, you'd managed to suck me in enough to almost completely ignore it (and I can't really hold it against you, I have a bridge in the front where one of my teeth was knocked clean out with a tire iron so if I'm not consciously focusing on my enunciation it can sound like I'm lisping slightly, especially when heard through a cheap mic). Again, great stuff, keep it up!

@APalebloodSky
7 жыл бұрын
TestRun Every single Daedric Prince has their own Realm and the Realm reflects their psyche. Sheogorath's is split into two to resemble his split personality, whilst Mehrunes Dagon's is the archetypal vision of Hell with pure destruction and lava seas, Hermaeus Mora's Realm is a neverending library of forbidden knowledge, Sanguine's is thousands of tiny realms, each with a different vice as its sphere. Peryite is the Daedric Prince of natural order and disease, or natural order through disease as a way of maintaining balance. His Realm is inaccessible to Mortals and the little information that is known about it is due to accounts of Daedra who have visited his Realm.
@APalebloodSky
7 жыл бұрын
TestRun Peryite's Realm would likely reflect his sphere of influence. It would be structured, but also disease-ridden and very hostile to outsiders. Boethiah also transported the player character in Oblivion to their Realm and it looked just like Mehrunes Dagon's Deadlands. The thing is, however, Boethiah's Realm has been described before as one full of traps, mountains, mazes, and twisted towers. It is more likely that Boethiah's and Peryite's Realms are not like the Deadlands. I can understand why Bethesda didn't put the effort in as making new assets from scratch for two quests may have been seen as unimportant, so they used Mehrunes Dagon's Realm.

There is one source that says they came from Sithis, but creation stories are so confusing that it's hard to say. In fact, another popular myth claims they came from the blood of Padomay, which seems to contradict the Sithis theory. So I guess what I'm trying to say is - we don't know for sure where the Daedra came from, or what relationship Sithis has to the Daedra. I think it would be pretty cool to have a quest in a future Elder Scrolls game where you do the bidding of a random daedric prince for a reward or for some other consequential reason, Sheogrorath, a prince well know for trickery could be in disguise as this particular daedra as a means to get his way or some other agenda.

Great video Roshank. I have just one question, are we really convinced about the existence of Lyg? To me it just seems like a misinterpretation of molag-bal's realm. They both seem to be backwards or twisted versions of nirn. Do we have any firsthand accounts of its existence or do we have only suggestions and conjecture or maybe something in between. I would welcome anyone's opinions on this topic.
@roshankredemption2510
7 жыл бұрын
It is very possible that is the case - as Mankar Camoran was the one who wrote what I mentioned about Lyg. It also really depends on how you interpret the context in which the lore was written. Specifically, considering who wrote that bit about Lyg (Michael Kirkbride)it's clear that he intended for Lyg to be an actual continent rather than a misinterpretation (if his out of game writings are anything to go by). However, Kirkbride doesn't determine what is canon - Bethesda does. I don't know if I see Bethesda ever addressing Lyg or involving it in a game in a meaningful way, so from that point of view, it may as well not exist. However, I included it as a fact because the person who wrote that bit of lore clearly intended for Lyg to be a real place. Again, whether or not you agree with him or take it to be canon is up to you. Hope that answers your question!

It would be cool in the next elder scrolls for the main character to be a new annointed aedra that can choose to betray the world with daedra or make it better with aedra. It would be also nice to have your own realm you can customize with the same engine as fallout 4 like how you build settlements but more extensive within the entire realm while adding your own citizens and rules and shit it would be a cool concept maybe for a dlc idk

There's a portal to Nocturnal's world? I thought princes couldn't have things like that since the pact with Akatosh and the Septims.

the barriers prevent them from invadeing the world, but not from opening a portal, for example sheogorath opened a portal around the same time mehrunes had his invasion but mentioned that his portal does not break the rules as he was only inviting people in

What if lorkhan is nirn itself because think of it when the dwemer mined the red mountain they struck lorkhan's heart which was unimaginably deep underground so what if he is nirn itself

InfernGame No, I found the mod. It is the Vigilant mod.

InfernoGame that was indeed a mod, you normally would fight jyggalagg just outside sheogoraths palace without mods, the battle in this vid at 5:04 however is nowhere ive ever seen
