Just jaw-dropping images Ioan !! Evostars are superb optical behemoths. I use its bigger sibling F/9 4" on the EQM-35 and its correction absolutely humbles me with its contrast and sharpness capabilities. Easily will do 3.5XW @ 257X. Suggest that should be your next scope. Keep up with the beautiful light !!

@@GalaxyArtMedia i have the F/9 apo Ioan 4inches of superbness (100mm); got lucky with a fantastic figure ! and although not ideal for AP is a killer visually. You would not believe me if i told you what its power regime is like !!! Works a charm on the EQM-35 Which surprised me a bit. Your incredible image of M31 with the 80ED and it inspires me to one day find a camera for it, to share, like you do. Also, your artwork is super! very realistic !! I hope your newyear is clear dark and steady !!

Excelent video. Foarte interesanta comparatia in imagini cu reflectlarele de 127 mm si 150 mm. Daca se poate ar fi super inca un video sau chiar mai multe cu astfel de comparatii refractor vs reflecror cu imagini.

@@GalaxyArtMedia Yes you are right. In the manual they mention verry little about my skywatcher refractor. I also had to learn by myself, how to deal with some issue. In fact, i bought also motordrive for my NEQ5 manual mount, and it happens quite the same. They don´t mention too much on how to install and use. I had to find out by myself. Thank again and sorry if my english might not be quite good, as my language are romanian and spanish.

@@ResQuetzal Hello. Thank you for the appreciation! Regarding the Eqm35 pro after 3 years still works good, i had a big storm here a few weeks back, you can see in my video where i made a telescope cover( Video link kzitem.info/news/bejne/qoqrtp5os4RebGU ) And the mount was moved my the wind one meter, still works good, last night i took exposures of 10 min at 600 mm focal length, all the exposures were good, no trails, no problems, having an RMS error of just 0.4-0.5 arc sec per pixel in Phd2

@@GalaxyArtMedia Thank you so much for your reply! I think choosing a first goto mount is a daunting task. So many choices it is a very expensive hobby. I would buy a GEM 28 but it is not in my budget. At this point, I'm just using a modified dslr and the complement of canon lenses I have. I also have an Asiair Plus, guidescope, camera. I use this on my Sky Adventure Pro. I just find it tedious to find and frame my targets with plate solving on a star tracker. I'm far away from having a complete setup but I'm enjoying photographing targets like M81, M82, M101, M42. Butterfly nebula in Cynus was just amazing in hydrogen alpha. The nebula was impressive but the multitude of stars I have never seen from my Bortle 9 sky was even more stunning. This hobby is more about problem solving sometimes than sitting back and enjoying the views. Enough ranting. I'm glad your mount didn't get damaged in the storm! Please continue to take amazing and inspiring pictures!

@@ResQuetzal Thank you very much! There is a new star adventurer GTI that has goto, could be an option for upgrating to a goto mount when platesolving is actualy needed for the extra goto acuracy. Curently the sky is instable here, rain clouds, fog with some few clear sky that is not totally clear, hope for better sky this summer.

Great review, I have one ED80 and like it a lot. As you say, it is very well corrected, even without the flattener stars don't look too bad. Many people don't like this scope's focuser, but I think it is perfectly usable provided we know which screws must be tighten up. I haven't used it much lately as I got a smaller refractor to do wide field. Oh, and I noticed you do galaxy imaging with your maksutov, you do this with a reducer or at its native f/10? Clear skies!
@GalaxyArtMedia
Жыл бұрын
Hello Thank you so much. Lately i have been using also a wide field refractor for nebulas and the maksutov. I used the skymax 127 / 1500 this Year at same backfocus needed for my eyepieces, so i do not need to focus much when changing with the camera and this gives me a focal length of 1700 mm at f/ 13.4 that i used also for galaxies. I prefer full focal length for galaxies to get the maximum details.i made a test with and without reducer on a galaxy and will edit the video when time will allow and upload it
