@alexhills38It was Ozzy Osbourne with Blizzard of Oz, who couldn’t or didn’t turn up. The promoters contacted Slade who had actually split up, and told them they would go down really well. Dave Hill needed to be convinced to give it one last try but they showed up with only their instruments, and parked with the general public - and boom! The boost from this one performance got us a bunch more songs from Slade. My Oh My, Run Run Away etc. It was a second wind.

Yes I was there watching Slade filling in for Blizzard of Ozz . Fantastic performance! A few weeks later my local night club “The Norbreck Nite Spot “ advertised that a band who recently cancelled at Reading would be playing , well I knew exactly who that was going to be . So I saw Ozzy Ozbourne playing in the smallest most intimate venue ever . Amazing time . Coincidentally I also managed to see Slade twice at that same venue , brilliant times .

The whole beauty of this tune was the Drumming and the tempo of it. I've noticed that there are other comments supporting my sentiment here, that this LIVE version is too fast. Some bands think that they have to create hysteria by playing much faster. Be true to the original recording as the Mighty STATUS QUO do. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters destroys their songs by yelling and screaming.

Blah, rock should be played however the hell the poeople playing it want to play it, and anyone who doesn't like it can fuck off. It's not Bach ffs.
