I really can't believe how much attention you have to little details, seriously it's insane to see every sound getting its own processing, that little zap thing has its own automated automation and all its own process, and the basses, let's not even start with them, they're insane. Anyways, I'm a producer and you've been my inspiration for a such a long time, those walkthroughs really help me, for inspiration and for some sound design hacks, I'm really thankful for that! Your songs are amazing, each and every one of them, and this one, in particular, is really special, whenever I think I've heard your best song I'm being wrong, every time you're surprising us with something new and better, I really dig the sort of melodic dubstep genre more than the dubstep one, but somehow you're managing to make them both sound good, I don't know anymore... But anyways, thank you for so much for your informative tutorials! cheers :)

I feel like my biggest take away here is if you have a sound that you like already, don't try to reinvent the wheel, use it and manipulate it to fit your needs. Working smarter not harder. Really appears to allow you to make your tracks really dynamic without having to focus too much time on recreating sounds that are already aspects of your signature sound. Thank you for your tutorials, very inspirational and educational, and I agree, the original Potions is mixed incredibly well. This is an incredible remix as well. Love your work.

The reason the original sounds both clean and punchy at the same time is because it is actually much more dynamic than other EDM as you said. I have a level meter reading the audio out of my computer so over spotify I can see that the track isn't being turned down. I am assuming it is mastered to -14 LUFS for this reason. I wish all EDM would follow suit. It's literally such a massive difference.

Damn, slowly realizing you're a goat when it comes to production. I've been looking at more and more of your videos recently and I find your workflow and plugin choice very intriguing. I got some questions. 1. I notice you use a lot of different synths. Besides Serum (which I assume you use for making filthy dubstep sounds), do any synths you choose in the production process serve a purpose? 2. As someone who ONLY uses Serum, I've had problems with it jacking up my CPU because.. well Serum can be CPU intensive. I notice you layered your future bass with chords with 2 instances of Wavetable and I am assuming it's less CPU intensive. Do you think using a simple plugin like wavetable helps with your workflow? 3. I also notice that you abuse the instrument rack a lot. I've layered my future bass chords with multiple tracks but I knew that takes up a lot of CPU and also .... really stiffens the ebb and flow of producing music. Has the instrument rack helped you in this regard?
@au5music
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! to answer your questions: 1. every synth i choose serves a purpose - whether it's because it has a specific preset, has the ability to make a particular sound i'm looking for, or because its something I'm not as familiar with using therefore inspiring creativity. 2. wavetable has a unique unison mode "noise" that serum does not have. its faster to set up and get a good sound from. 3. 1 midi track controlling multiple instruments optimizes navigation and workflow, so yeah it definitely helps me.
