Me and Rod lived together in Hollywood at a house on Curson Ave in the 90s. It had a recording studio upstairs. Many wonderful memories. I remember when Rod got the gig with Slash. I drove him over to Slash’s house in BH for his first session. I told him this is your chance to let the world know your name. The rest is history🎤🎸 JJ

Having heard all of the singers that Slash has used on his albums for the Snake Pit project. Rod Jackson has effortless soul and swagger that's a true rock singer. The dude's not even miked up and his tone is amazing.

yea, i'm in love with his voice, but that kind of voice is not the right one to sing guns n roses songs for example, and slash have understood this important point, cuz during a live performance fans want to hear something more about guns and not only snakepit, and with Rod this was not possible

Forgive me, but I beg to differ. Seen Snakepit perform live, with Rod Jackson, 6 times! Rod's voice was EVERYTHING! He did justice to GNR songs.

What happened to Rod Jackson? The last time i heard about him, he was in a project called Shady Tree, but this was probably about 10 years ago or almost 10 years ago. Haven't heard about him recently, i only know about Eric Dover

Nah, "It's Five O' Clock Somewhere" is his best record, just after "Appetite For Destruction". And it definitely wasn't his best band, musicians in second Snakepit were terrible.

Man, Slash's career was in the shitter at this point. The singer sucks!!! Lucky he worked with Scott and Myles to get some good records out before he rejoined GNR. Snakepit wasn't going anywhere. Both records were weak.
@rayrivera1830
Жыл бұрын
You're into pop, not rock. Snakepits are the most creative albums Slash has made, besides his first "Slash" solo record.
