The Warriors never make a big trade, especially at the deadline. Wiggins for D-Lo doesn’t count because Wiggins had negative value at the time (and still does now). If anything, might as well make a trade for a decent costing elite role player and hope Kuminga and Podz take the next step. Because, let’s be honest here. Warriors ain’t offering Kuminga or Podz in any trade in the foreseeable future. Lacob isn’t light years anymore. He’s more conservative salary protector. Cam Johnson, and Kuzma would be on the list. As long as no heart Wiggins is gone. Cut the excess

I think it’s more him not wanting to pay massive amounts of money for mediocre teams and he won’t overpay for anybody but a superstar. Seems logical to me. They won’t be able to put together great rosters again until the two extremely over paid old guys retire

@@ninerempire3398 lacob messed up the whole two timeline issue. He should’ve chosen a direction instead of thinking he can have the best of both worlds. Now we are mid and stuck paying Kuminga 150+ million a year meanwhile we have no consistent 2nd or 3rd option because our #2 pick is on the verge of being out of the league and we never fully committed to getting Curry a second star post 2019. And guess what? Curry still carried this team to a title with 6 guys 22 and under in 2022. Lacob should be kissing his feet right now.

@@Nikohhh04 they did mess up with who they picked and should’ve picked the more nba ready players, I have no issue with that plan at all. How many teams lose a star like klay to injury and then replace him with another star ? The steph stans aren’t realistic at all and why should they pay steph all that money if he needs 2-3 other stars just to compete? I hate that narrative that he “carried” the 2022 team by himself. The defense was all time great defense and curry had nothing to do with that. Steph didn’t shut down taytum and jaylen brown in that finals series, that was wiggins , klay, GP2, and dray. He never guarded the luka’s , morant’s , or jokic leading up to that playoff run. That was a full team effort. And I think steph should be kissing lacob’s feet for adding all the great players he’s added, the great coaches he’s added , and for paying for the most expensive rosters ever. Curry would be worse off than dame lillard the way the warriors were heading before lacob bought the team. Steph stans are unrealistic in thinking he can have a super team every year of his career

@@ninerempire3398 Do you even pay to go to the games? Seems like a couch stan take to me. Do YOU have any idea how much tickets cost? Am I going to watch Podz and Kuminga lose night in night out and pay all that premium ticket money for that? No. You have to sell me a product AKA HOPE. This roster is hopeless. NBA is entertainment. Also all championships are team efforts. No superstar ever won alone. If memory serves basketball is 5 v 5. But in 2022 that WAS Steph carrying the offense. The numbers do not lie. Also Steph aint kissing anyone's feet bozo. He helped build that arena in San Fran. And the proof will be when he retires. Other than Steph, Kuminga is only Warriors player that can create his own shot. Problem is the Kerr doesn’t set him up for plays like he does for the veterans. All the new players, Hield, Melton had career injuries and up and down seasons. If not for the Draymond punch, Poole would be the number 2 guy by now. But Lacob lets Draymond off the hook by resigning him. Basically Warriors are stuck with overplayed players (Draymond and Wiggins).

There's a strong chance that at least 3 of those 4 will be better. TJD did all that great work without all the knowledge he has now, same with Podz, now they're a little stronger, smarter, just better prepared for the season. They also know their roles, and how to play with the vets on this team. JK is stronger physically per social media, and he's such a talent and is hungry to be great. Moses is really the only wildcard, but I still like what he brings to the table, especially on defense in the perimeter

@JustStay16 You may be right, but if the Warriors are healthy and Draymond doesn't get suspended for 26 games, they should be in the mix, and that's all you need these days. There are some really good young teams, but there is no dominant team in the NBA right now; Celtics are the closest to that, and I don't think anyone sees them as a dominant or dynastic squad, at least not yet. Also, keep in mind that it took Draymond being suspended for 26 games last year, Klay to forget how to play defense (or not be able to anymore, which has been solved by his departure), Wiggins to have ANOTHER season where he basically disappeared for more than half his games, and yet the Warriors STILL won 46 games. The Warriors may not be the 2014 or 2017 version of themselves anymore, in fact they DEFINITELY aren't, but they have a lot of good young pieces in their own right, and I'm not as quick to write off Steph as you are; he's still playing at a very high level, and is in tremendous shape. A healthy and non suspended Warriors team is still a factor in the West
