I could listen to Brandon talk about anything for hours, he seems like such a genuine man.

I know lots of guys who quit when they get a simple strain in the gym, this takes balls to come back that quickly from a major injury

Brandon Lilly is a beast, he's recovering fast. Animal is a great company for putting out this video. It shows that they really care a lot about their athletes for putting out a video following his recovery. Can't wait to see Brandon back to full strength again. He's a great inspiration. He's one of the main people who watching inspired me to hit the gym and get stronger.

The drive, the attention to detail, the courage to push harder and go farther than all others, and the little things that make up the big picture. The training session turned life lesson. You can't make this up. Keep slaying dragons!!!!

Animal I'm almost in awe to think of what Dan will do next year (if no injuries occur) as earlier in the year he was looking....inhuman. I recall him doing a 770 for a triple in just sleeves, his 1003 block pull. I'd say that's nearing Coan levels of strength.

Well, Ed Coan just recently turned 51 (I think). I'd imagine Kirk Karwoski is about the same. Bill Kazmaier is 60. Larry Pacifico is 68. Don Reinhoudt is 69. Jon Cole passed last year at age 69. John Kuc passed at age 67. Jim Williams passed at age 66. Paul Anderson passed at age 61. According to USA Today, the average life expectancy in the United States as of 2012 was 76 years. Personally, I'd be fine with dying a few years before the average if I did what these guys do.

Brandon is probably the smartest guy in the sport. And I love how that is combined with his interest in mental toughness and what it means to be a man. Dan on the other hand might be the most interesting personality that we have seen in power lifting. Brandon is right in that he is a cowboy and he goes his own way. But you know so many people, for so long, even after Dan is done, will want to know how he programmed and what he did.
