So I am on my 6th mattress in the past 6 years. 1st was a traditional coil mattress, then was a Sleep Number C5 (I think) and I got tired of the feeling of rolling toward the middle so I tried a bed in the box and that wasn't firm enough, then I got another Sleep Number P5 bed and after a year it just wasn't comfortable enough with the same problem of the feeling of rolling towards the middle, so I opted for a split King Temper-Pedic with the idea that I could get away of rolling towards the middle with two individual mattresses. Now I'm looking for a replacement because I'm having lower body pain. I like what you said about the ReST having 5 individual chambers, however my concern is that it has a lot of moving parts. Like anything that has that many moving parts, it tends to break down a lot easier.

I just bought a sleep number I10 pre-owned on Facebook. The guy had it for less than 1year he spent nearly 8k on it and I bought it for 2k. I slept on it once night so far and it feels like my body is totally relaxed and for the first time in 8 years I'm not in pain vs my $6,400 temperpedic which has given me pain and collapsed in the center. I feel like I got it for a steal of a deal. Yes the guys home was clean and him and his fiance are moving into the same home so he would have any place to put it. Which is why he is selling it. The next bed I buy will be Rest bed
@Cluanar

What they dont tell you on this site is that REST does not come with head and feet options so price wise you are not comparing apples to apples. I compared equal prices and with the i10 you get head and feet raising. Add a few thousand more for REST if you can find the base to match it.
@ASLReviews
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Cluanar, actually Sleep Number does not come with head and feet options either. Those come in their Flex Fit adjustable bases, as you can also use with the ReST bed. In our review, we only compared the two mattresses, not any base options. Again, neither mattress lifts your head or feet, only the bases do that, and neither bed automatically comes with a base. It’s a separate purchase. Thanks for watching!
@Cluanar

Hi, Great video thanks! I need some advice, I’ve narrowed my search down to either the Airpedic 800 or 1000 vs. the Rest Bed. My problem is I’m having trouble making a decision as I feel like the AirPedic offers better top foam on the mattress with similar manual capabilities as the The Rest. However the rest seems more advanced to give me a more automated advanced sleep. My only reservation on the Rest is the gel foam on top seems to not compare to the Airpedic. I’m really stuck please help with some advice? Thanks!
@ASLReviews

bruce cowart Hi Bruce! Both beds are great options, it really will boil down to which features are most important for you. Air-Pedic offers a pretty straight forward set it and forget it manual adjustment option but it does not have the same advanced smart technology found with the ReST bed. If you change positions frequently the automatic adjustments with ReST can be quite useful as it does adjust in real time to relieve pressure. That being said the top foam on Air-Pedic is softer than the ReST foams, you’ll feel like you’re sleeping in the mattress as opposed to on it. What sort of overall feel are you looking for with the mattress?
@cowart216

ASL Reviews I currently have an all foam mattress and from the time I bought it my shoulder has been hurting bad (three years). I am a toss and turner and my shoulder stays stuck in this mattress bad, to the point where I literally sit all the way up and then toss a just rolling, I’ve done it so long now don’t even know I do it. Before the foam I was spring pillow top.
@ASLReviews

Hi Bruce, so ReST has 4 inches of foam above the air chambers and the Airpedic 800/850 both have about 6 inches. So essentially you are getting more foam above the chambers with Airpedic, and more adjustment and technology with ReST. Both companies have a sleep trial as well. I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
