Psalm 22(21) 7 But I am a worm, not a man, a laughing stock and despised by the people. 8 All those who look at me mock me, they open their lips, shake their heads: 9 “He trusted in the Lord, let him deliver him, let him deliver him, if he love him.” When someone humiliates us greatly, we want to hide it, we don't want it to come to light. We are ashamed to talk about it. We want to be forgotten and it is best for others to forget it too. And yet the Lord Jesus was not ashamed of being treated so terribly, and he proclaimed it to the whole world that it was through this Cross, our Lord Jesus Christ, that we were saved.

These actors were just amazing. The way their eyes changed the second they realized who they were looking at and their tough, street-hardened demeanor just faded, and you can see the fear, and adrenaline course through them. Their eyes... they regressed. That moment you can see the terrified children they were back then. Just... wow. I think the reason why pedophiles are the lowest of the low in prison is likely because so many prisoners experienced that form of abuse, leading them to do drugs, crimes, rape, murder. Sexual abuse is such a life-altering thing to put a child through. It messes them up so bad

That, "Oh, you ordered the meatloaf. The brisket is really good here..." line, is just the best cold-blooded line ever before killing someone. This film is fantastic. My grandparents grew up in Hells Kitchen with the Westies. Tough neighborhood back then. My great uncle was thrown into an orphanage after his parents both died young. He was abused by the priests and had to fight every night so him and his brother could eat. When my grandma turned 14 she married my grandpa so they could legally take custody of her brothers. My great uncle Bobby went on to work for the Daily News. He knocked out a union representative at a meeting one time. Dude was tough as nails. I watched him die of lung cancer and he never complained one time. Watching this movie makes me understand more what he went through when he was in the system as a kid.
