Belyakov is really something. Every move so fluid and joyous and he manages to make his jumps appear suspended in the air for an instant. It is simply breathtaking! Also when he lifts his partner, he "places" her on the stage again as if she were made of glass and very precious.

Music tempo is decided by the choreographer and director. The conductor cannot change the tempo of the music if they feel like it, especially because the dancers were rehearsing at a different tempo and would mess up.

Stanislav Issaev it is necessary,anyone paying money that they worked dam hard for would want to see the full version otherwise ask for your money back. Besides anyone who knows the blue bird solo will agree what a test of endurance it is. Do both sides come into the centre to do your sixes and see how much is left in the tank. This is the ultimate test of using your plié and ballon. A true dancer will love the challenge and would want to take it on
@StanislavIssaev

I think that quality of production is important not a number of sixes, or pas de shat. Not everything we know is correct - this is art form and please give artist or choreographer space to create it. Numbers is for accountants. And you or me can be unhappy - every production done not exactly for everyone. And this make arts interesting.
@magicalgrasshopper

Stanislav Issaev people pay good money to go to the ballet they deserve every penny's worth!! If I paid money to watch half a solo I would ask for my money back!! And choreographers these days tend to be given too much artistic licence..no one stops them and asks " would anyone pay money to watch this" that's why you see such a load of self indulgent rubbish which has murdered the art form.. a lot of the times you'll go and watch some new work and it's a load of rubbish anyone off the street can do.so what makes it so special?? What differentiates you from the person on the street?? It's quite surprising to see a Russian having this opinion,you're the ones who turned ballet into rhythmic gymnastics and now you're complaining if someone is trying to hold you to that standard
