Thanks for the video, I just received my ender 3 a week ago and am getting used to the slicing software then I'll move onto CAD software.

Could have made it bigger if you had turned it 45 degrees.

Well, naturally. But that would apply to any printer, if you are willing to chop the model into enough separate pieces. I think the idea here was to see how big this printer could go in a single print.

This so fucking strange. I've watched several 3-d printer vids and I've decided that when I can afford it, I'm getting my first printer and it will be an ender 3. I saw several benchy's being made recently and I wondered if anyone has scaled one up. I never searched for any vid to see if that was true. Get out of my head youtube!!!

Hi Jason Great video. Some suggestions for future videos like explaining some of the various printing defects and their possible remedy. (Like Z Banding and how to fix it) Things you should do to prepare your printer before a long print. Regular printer maintenance we all should be doing. An interesting project would be to upgrading either an Ender 3, CR10 mini or CR10 to dual z screws, direct printing, auto bed leveling and a better control board with touch LCD. Design and build a printer from scratch. Obviously the last two ideals would require a multiple video series. Just some ideas to think about. Suggestion, when talking about something specific in your videos, it would help to either show a close up or take a picture and show that for a few seconds. Enjoying your videos and please keep up the great work you Guys are doing. It's so refreshing to see a good Canadian 3D Printing Company that has experience and obviously loves what they are doing.. Cheers Willy

I have been aske to contact you I have just built my ender 3 the problem I have is I tried a test piece 100.90mm I set every thing up they seemed to work until it came to printing I homed all it went through the print motion the printer lifted up a bit it touched the stop switch lifted up again it moved over to the right about 90mm and stopped then went towards the back stopped about 100mm and carried on laying filament but it was only printing at the front left corner touching the stop switch every time it layed filament when I say it prints to the left side and to the front so its well off center would you no of any settings settings I can try or any adjustments I can make to get it printing in the center. I did manage to get a message back from Creality he said if I wanted to print in the center I should place the object in the center I told him using Cura it would always set the object in the center unless I want to move it which I don't not a good answer was it any I hope you don't mind me asking as its getting to the stage that I have had enough, watched your video wonderful thank you for your time

I was just thinking, there are two types of people in the world. Those that INTIMATELY know what a "Benchy" is, and those who have no earthy idea what you are talking about.

Good video. How much filiment did the benchy use? I would like to try one in a metal filiment, problem is the spools are much smaller and I don't want to run out during the print. Thanks.

Falcon 3d printers can bridge gaps as long as they start and end on something. It usually sags a little. Watch some videos on 3d pens to see it in action.

can you or anybody help me out my pla will not stick to my ender 3 bed what can i do to fix this?
@Jason-yn6oy
6 жыл бұрын
The ender 3 bed has extremely good adhesion in my experience, almost too much as parts dont come off that easily. Ensure your bed isnt warped using a straight edge down the middle (front to back) and across the middle, side to side. It definitely sounds like your first layer is off as a result of bad bed tramming (commonly called leveling)

I have just bought the ender 3, where can I get the ender 3 Cura profile from ?
@Jason-yn6oy
6 жыл бұрын
If you mean the machine or printer profile, you can create it yourself since you just need the X,Y and Z dimensions as a minimum. (220x220x250mm). Start by choosing the CR-10 profile which comes standard with Cura, then edit with your new dimensions. You can also add custom start and end g-code snippets to suit you, though not absolutely necessary.

I'd need you to define "best set up". If you mean slicing settings, well that will vary depending on the material, model, and it's intended use among many other factors. However, setting up machine profiles is definitely something I'll cover in a near-future video. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm sure that you've been asked this a thousand times, but what 3D printer do you use? I didn't see it in the description.
