These are so well edited. I have passed on long playthrough before because I just assumed they were livestreams, but won’t make that mistake again. Thanks for your service to the community!

Thanks for the kind words! I do my best to make sure the production quality of my videos is always improving so they're enjoyable to watch for people who know the game well in addition to those who may be newer. I want to make sure my edited KZitem content is distinct from my Twitch livestream content as well, since there's a lot of fun things I can do with editing that aren't possible live. Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the support!

I really appreciate your editing. Showing the cards in close up and adjusting the numbers for modifiers really improves the experience for me. Thanks for all your work on Unmatched content in general. I really enjoyed your commentary in the Winter of Champions, incredibly knowledgable!

Always love the adventures play! Such a great, fun way to show off the abilities of the new fighters. Super excited to play them myself!

I’m glad to see the new characters in Unmatched Adventures as I prefer that mode to the original battle mode. I admittedly got a laugh at the calm music while intense battles go on.

God I love how the newer fighters have increasingly more effects that can be applied to other fighters: it makes the coop experience so much more fun! On the other hand, I do think they leaned a bit too much towards cancels with TTA minions and villains: I'm crossing my fingers for the next Adventures release to contain less cancels or at least more conditional ones (like Jersey Devil) so that by playing around them you can get to play more of your character's effects, and get hit less by R&G. Great showcase of Slings and Arrows btw, I'm loving the Sisters and Titania most!

Agreed on the effects that affect friendly fighters or any fighter; they add so much extra depth to playing co-op! As for the cancels, I haven't found it to be that bad personally. Mothman and Tarantula are the only enemies with unconditional cancels, and then Martian and Jersey Devil have ones that can be played around so they don't happen that often (and in the case of Martian, it isn't even possible until a specific symbol is active).
@RiccardoC

@@darkblade_113 Yeah Martian is kinda conditional too even though when the symbol is unlocked it's really not 😅 Don't get me wrong, my words come from a place of love for Unmatched: I've unfortunately seen a lot of friends that are not expert unmatchers be sad and disappointed when they really wanted to play a card and got their effect canceled with no way to tell or work around it, that it's often just a moment of delusion during the game. At least in competitive one of the players has the gratification of feinting well... I kinda think in cooperative no one is truly "rewarded" from the enemies canceling players effects with ordinary feints. Like, I'm on board with Tarantula canceling while on a web for example: in a lot of games we coordinated our efforts to avoid playing our best cards without baiting her in an empty space first (except...she cancels effects anyway, only not the value, but you get the point 😅). My hope is that future Adventures maybe aim more towards stronger but feintless enemies, or more conditional cancels that give you a way to guess and play around them!

The rules are a bit ambiguous on this matter, but a strict interpretation of the core rules (which the UMA manual says to follow if not covered in the UMA rules) the enemy cards would not count as Versatile because they don't have the Versatile (purple) symbol anywhere on the card. Yes, all enemy cards have both attack and defense values, but it would seem their cards are treated as an Attack (red) card if it's being attacked with and a Defense (blue) card if it's being defended with. Ultimately, you could use a house rule and say the enemy cards count as Versatiles if you want, so the card is actually useful, but I did not during this game.

This set looks amazing, I have a question, when an action here says to discard a card and it doesn't say from where, in the case of the effect of the first destroyed bridge. From where it should be discarded?
@darkblade_113
4 ай бұрын
If a different location isn't specified, discarding always happens from the hand. In the case of an effect like Mothman destroying a bridge, it is a chosen discard since it doesn't say 'random,' though there are random discard effects in the game too, such as from Hamlet's 'The Play's the Thing.'

I've never played an Unmatched game but this looks super interesting. Even though the game is officially for 2-4 players, it looks to be perfectly playable solo if you choose to manage multiple hands. Would you indeed recommend it for solo play? I'd likely manage only to characters.
@chriswarner8906

I have played it solo with 2 heroes (it scales from 1 to 4, but 1 is kinda goofy). It's a pretty good game.
@darkblade_113

Yes, I would definitely recommend it for solo play! I think playing solo while managing two characters is probably my preferred way to play the co-op mode solo. I did 4 for this video since I'm showing off characters from a new set, but two feels like a better spot if you're just playing solo in general. There are lots of ways to adjust difficulty with Adventures as well, so you can always start out lighter and then ramp up the challenge once you're ready. The set you'll want to look into is 'Unmatched Adventures" Tales to Amaze.' The four heroes it comes with are different than the ones in this video, but that's the box that comes with the co-op system, villains, and minions. The four heroes in that set are all very fun as well, and have some great tools to use in both co-op and PVP play. If you want to see more gameplay with the system, I have another video on my channel from eariler in the year where I played a 2-player game solo with the Sun's Origin characters against the other villain that comes in the Tales to Amaze set. That can be found here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/16-I2H2In2SaeqQ

@darkblade_113

@@ChrisSolarski You're welcome! Just to clarify, you'll still need Tales to Amaze to play the co-op mode, since that's the box that comes with the villains/minions and other components. These characters are from a separate, newly-released box called 'Slings and Arrows,' so you'd need to get both if you want to have all the stuff in this video. I want to make that clear, just so you don't accidentally purchase without all the information (though I would highly recommend both sets).
