GWAR is a collection of aliens from the Planet Scumdogia that were trapped in Antarctica and frozen for thousands of years before all the hair spray from Glam Rock in the 80's caused them to thaw. Corey's vocal range is phenomenal!! One of the reasons I have been a huge Slipknot fan since 1999 is because they evolve. They're not afraid to push boundaries and try new things but still keep their signature style. I love all types of metal and all different types of music but one problem I have with a lot of metal bands is they sometimes become one trick ponies. Ok yea you can pound drums aggressively and power a song but can u slow it down, time it and carry it? Yea you can shred a guitar, great now can you give me a sweet melody that stays stuck in my head? Yea you can scream and growl, awesome but can you sing? Can you write and say something so profound and moving that you don't have to scream it? That's what I listen and look for in my music. Make me feel more than just the aggression. Make me feel alive, sad, happy, crazy, inquisitive. Make me think and question. Should definitely check out more Slipknot and check out Corey's other band, Stone Sour.

To answer you're question about what's crazier I would recommend exploring subgeneres like thrash metal, death metal, and black metal. Bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Cannibal Corpse, Emperor, Behemoth
