Do you have any secrets for how you set up your bike?

i like to put skateboard grip tape on top of my cranks, so if I move my foot on a barspin onto the cranks I wont slip of... and if you catch the cranks in whips or no foot cans I wont slip of 😁

Yes I have a few friends that do that. I don’t land on my cranks much cause they’re skinny so I don’t do that 🙈

Pretty much exactly how I have my scott voltage set up. Only i dont have to run the thing on the crank because I have the inserts to run fixed length dropouts so I have it set up so the cranks are tight. Also I just threw my first barspin today, kind of landed a shitty one. Any pointers? Seems like I'm not flicking fast enough. I'm sure it's just practice.

My barspins are always shitty I think. 😂It’s definitely just practice. Do them a lot and make it muscle memory!

My personal tip is make a mark under the steere tube of your fork, especially pike dj to see if the steerer tube rotate or not. And i also ride my brake lever pretty steep and far away from the grip (hydrolic brake)
@NicHilton

Yes I’ve heard of some issues with the fork! And that’s actually a great tip that I forgot to mention was running the brake lever steep!

Aye bro. Love the videos. I Have a question. Just built up a DJ for messing around. But what’s the cause of my crank rotating while I’m walking my bike. It’s really annoying that it looks like my bikes pedaling itself. I’m running a profile crank and profile elite hub if that has anything to do with it. Please let me know if you have a answer. Thanks again bro 🤙🏽
@NicHilton
5 жыл бұрын
Yo dude! It sounds like your hub is really tight inside and has some drag. This is common for brand new elite hubs. The panels and springs will loosen up after a few rides and you shouldn’t see that happen anymore!

@@TheDOOKIEonYOU the easiest way to fix this is slide your back wheel so your chain gets tighter but it will reduce the lifetime of your driver bearings

How about psi for a 32mm stanchion with 100mm travel? Mine is converted to Air from coil. I don't have a list of what is the recommend psi. Im 100kgs/220pounds but I do dirt jumping. I put a 200psi for my fork. I dont know if that is too much. Please answer. Thankyou

hey man! what's your opinion on riding a 27.5'' hardtail on dirt jumps, skatepark and all that good stuff. I want to get into it but I only got a 27.5'' hardtail, and I want to start learning and go to dirt jump parks and all that good stuff if I can to train before getting myself a 26'' dirt jumper
@NicHilton

Hey man, so the geometry could prove to be weird on something like that, however, getting comfortable on small jumps and learning to pump and ride the skatepark will still be super valuable. I would definitely side ride whatever you have until you can upgrade!

Craigslist Ebay, Any Kona, GT, On-one, SE Omflyers, speclized, ect... or 2000's bike. Older bikes have a taller or higher toptube. Good steel frames are a start!
