Quang Le Actually in a weird way yes. His noseless-ness is supposed to represent his serpent like nature, and by extension we understand his monstrosity that he has become. Younger Tom (Nose Tom), his character is understandbly far more dubious in nature. Slughorn had faith in a young man whose talents promised to lead him to greatness... Slughorn never understood what kind of Greatness Tom was after... Without the nose Voldemort's evil in on the surface. With it however...

I'm actually not sure how to put it. If I were to see Lord Voldemort right now, I wouldn't be at all afraid or intimidated; even if he were to try hard to scare me. Tom Riddle's presence, on the other hand, shakes me to the very core. It's like he is hiding or planning something very dark, while pretending to be ignorant, innocent, etc. The moment I see Tom Riddle, I immediately feel uncomfortable and wary of him.

It doesn't make sense that anybody would trust this creepy kid at all, let alone spend any time alone with him. He's not charming or persuasive in this scene at all. +Calucifer13 Vanity is a female virtue. All great men care little of their appearance, that is why wise men often have long beards because they've got better things to do than to stand in front of a mirror 15 minutes a day. Same with Buddhist monks, they shave their head because they don't want to be distracted. Vanity is the woman's greatest strength and her greatest weakness. When Voldemort was younger he had to manipulate people into helping him become stronger. So he combed his hair to suck up to the suckers, but as reincarnated Lord Voldemort he didn't waste a second conjuring some hair on his head or a nose. If so, that's pretty impressive when you consider that he hasn't graduated Hogwarts yet. Also, it's very fitting that Marvolo Gaunt's ring contains the Resurrection Stone when you realise that Voldemort is descended from the Peverell Brother who possessed that stone, Cadmus Peverell. All the versions of Tom Riddle are so scary. Every single word he speaks is in a terrifying tone. Even if it’s a calm and casual voice like now. Even in the first memory when he was like 11.

Harry was a descendant of the third brother in the story of the deathly hallows. voldermort was indeed brilliant but, his greatest fear was death. I think he wouldn't have turned out the way he did if,his father (Tom Riddle SR) had shown him love. he had never had no one to love him. growing up in that orphanage friendless,lonely. so very sad. gotta feel sorry for him. voldermort told Harry one time, so weak. your a fool Harry Potter and you will lose. Harry replies, your the weak one cause you will never know love or friendship and I feel sorry for you.

Toxic Shooter Well,you havent quite finish the story Tom's mother did use the love potion on Tom's father but she stopped using it so she think he will love her for who she is or stay by her side for the kid's sake which is Tom But sadly Tom Senior ran away ( Nice job dick ) And Tom always believe that his father is actually a wizard instead of his mother but he found out that his mother is actually the witch and his father is just a normal person ( muggle ) and Tom was angry because he wanted a father who carries the blood of a wizard not his mother who died fast and left him in the orphanage So Father's love is not the only reason that cause him to carry the name Voldemort His hatred toward muggles (Because his dad is a muggle and he hate fathers.*Thats why he kill Harry's father James potter first before killing Lily haha*)are also one of them Since he was from Slytherin so basically most of the people who came from Slytherin are pure blood and they think accepting muggles is a mistake.

+Duke Sonic Riddle Sr. was a dick in the first place. He even think himself too royally worthed to even give a glance to the low life. Poor Merope Gaunt only fell for him because of his face and his charm, ones that Voldy inherited.
@user-um7xs7ih8f
7 жыл бұрын
Alia Ris Actually Merope was the one who was wrong at first She should not used the love potion to let Riddle love her. The only part I think Riddle Senior done wrong is that he did not want to take care of the child. I mean seriously he is just a kid,he can take away the kid and leave the mother cause he has the rights to do that actually and Merope hope that the father of her child can at least take care of him but he ran away.So haha Mother is a liar Father is a dick Tom never had an easy life.Pity him
@Alia-bc3rc
7 жыл бұрын
Duke Sonic Yeah. She was too obsessed, love potion is the only way she knew to 'have' him. Blimey, Merope herself never got any proper love from her family. A complete arsehole like Riddle Sr probably would never admit that he had a child from someone like Merope. So yeah again, you're right, pity Tom.

I never appreciated this movie when it came out when I was 16. I was so focused on how it wasn't completely faithful to the book that I never realized how good this movie actually was. The two kids that played Voldemort were amazing. Slughorn's story with the fish was really sad, and even Michael Gambon's Dumbledore was actually really well acted.

This portrayal of Voldemort comes across as far more dangerous that the Tom Riddle seen in Chamber of Secrets. Here you can see why Voldemort could gain so much influence before he solely used fear. He is a master manipulator and very charismatic. He is very dangerous because he doesn't seem a threat. He is able to worm his way into people through his charm and his supposedly earnest thirst for knowledge. Only at the end is Slughorn wary and that is only because Riddle moved the discussion in a very dark area, i.e., many murders and ripping the soul into 7. Clearly, Riddle had built up a lot of credit in the bank for Slughorn to initially talk horcruxes with him. That takes years of brilliant acting and superb manipulation. Compare another very clever student trying this. I think Hermione Granger would have had a very hard time getting this knowledge from a teacher.

By this point he had already killed Moaning Myrtle and turned his diary into a horcrux; in the book this scene is actually him asking about making multiple horcruxes, not just him simply asking what a horcrux is.

In this point in the movie he had already killed the Riddles too; he has the Gaunt family ring. He just wanted to ask if he could make seven, but first he had to ask what a Horcrux is in order to "sound natural."

JK Rowling said in a interview that Professor Quirrel, way back in Philosopher's Stone, was in fact a temporary horcrux. Therefore, depending on how you look at it, there are 8 in total, with 7 (including Quirrel) being intentional and the last (Harry) being unintentional. I hope that cleared up the confusion for you.

It is going to be exciting watching all these events unfold in the new franchise, all this must be connected, the fifth film is set in 1945 same year when riddle kills his muggle father and opens the chamber and starts asking about horcruxes and Dumbledore's famous duel with grindelwald. You just know all these events are gonna collide and be connected somehow. Its gonna be awesome.
