You may be surprised to learn that that image only uses 16 colors. It might look like there is more due to how detailed it looks, but no. In addition, the SNES is capable of displaying an image with up to 256 unique colors on a single layer. It's not a very common thing you'll see, but some games do make use of it. The title screen and menu of Super Mario All-Stars is one example.

Would your tools potentially be able to work with any of the all-stars titles (obviously with hefty modifications) I'd love to see super Mario 2 get modified with all the weird shit from advance

I made a build of AddmusicK that works with SMAS+W, so custom music could be inserted at least. Each of the games would still need their own sprite tool, block tool, level editor, and custom cutscene patch to be able to import everything from the Advance tiles, though.

Does the patch in the description come with a Luigi and Peach hack to make it consistent with the cutscene?

No. Editing the normal player graphics to give Luigi separate graphics from Mario and changing the Peach graphics used elsewhere would have been outside the scope of this patch.

No, it's in .asm patch format. I wanted the user to be able to customize aspects of the patch to their hack's needs, so .bps would not work for that.

You need Lunar Magic and Asar to insert all the files provided by my patch (linked to in the description) into SMW. First, use Lunar Magic to import all the .mwl, .map16, and ExGFX files into SMW. Then, use Asar to apply "CutsceneRevolution.asm" to the ROM (this is the "main" patch, which will also insert all the other .asm patches and the .tpl files). By default, the Intro, All Exits, and All Yoshi Coins cutscenes will activate in game with no further requirements. The Alt Intro requires you to define an SRAM flag that determines whether the normal or alt intro should play and a place to set said flag.

It's not that complicated to set up and you don't need to understand any programming to do so. All you need to do is apply "CutsceneRevolution.asm" to the SMW ROM using asar (with all the .asm and .tpl files in the same folder as the ROM and asar), and import the ExGFX, map16, and mwl files using Lunar Magic on the same ROM you applied the patch to.

I don't think a video is necessary, as this patch is only a bit more involved to get working compared to most other SMW patches. But, I will explain how to do it here: - Put all the files in the same folder as the ROM. Although the ExGFX files must be in a subfolder called "ExGraphics". - Use asar to apply "CutsceneRevolution.asm" to the SMW ROM. All the other .asm patches will be applied along with it as this is the "main" patch. - Open up the SMW ROM in Lunar Magic, then drag and drop all the .mwl and Map16 files into Lunar Magic and save after each one. - Click the yellow mushroom button in Lunar Magic to insert the ExGFX files.

@@newsuperbowserworld By default, this patch uses the SMW title screen music if AddmusicK hasn't been used on the ROM. After inserting the custom music you want to use with AddmusicK, edit the 4 music defines in "CutsceneRevolution.asm" so the music ID matches what ID you inserted your custom music as. Then, reapply the patch.
