Gentlemen, a (not-so-serious) comment and a (more serious) question for your consideration: 1.) First, the serious question: obviously as Lutherans we have no issue with alcohol in and of itself. That being said, drunkenness is a real sin and a real danger (I had an alcoholic father who had to completely abstain, as it was far too easy for him to slip back into it from a single drink). Generally speaking, how do you advise Christians to drink, and to know if they are getting too close to drunkenness? What would be a good guideline "warning sign" for a Christian to say "okay, you've had enough"? Personally, I am a one-and-done drinker, as I don't want to end up like my father was, but I know others like to indulge further. Thoughts? 2.) You gentlemen need to have a MAN'S beer. I recommend a nice, dark stout for a future vidcast.

Thank you for your questions. And thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed it. First, I think it is different for each person, but a good general rule of thumb would be that if you think you are getting close to having too many, then you should stop. Now, some people will not notice that they have had too many until it is too late; for those individuals, I would advise them to set a limit they know will not get them intoxicated, as you have indicated that you do. For some, it may be 1, for others, 3 or 4. And, of course, for those with a history of alcoholism in their family, the best advice would be simply to abstain altogether. As for a stout, I (PK) am all on board with that. Do you have one you would recommend?

@@LagersWithLuther I'm not sure how easy it would be to get down there, but the Rochester Mills Beer Company (In Michigan) has a "Michigan Maple Milkshake Stout." I wasn't sure how to react to that at first, but believe it or not it was quite smooth and had a hint of sweetness without being ridiculously sweet. If you have the means, I recommend it.
