That's what I like to see a shop that's worked in. It's not pin perfect, but it's not a total cluster f**k either. That fact that your doing it in under 70 square feet, is great. So now I'm going to hang my head in shame, and go out to my 2000 sq ft shop and see were I've gone wrong. 🤔 Actually I've been looking at tiny shop and mobile shop videos for ideas and how people came up with various solutions for working in a small space. I do a lot of work in remote locations on people's fishing and hunting cabins, and having somewhere to work in is a premium. I have a 24 ft gooseneck cargo trailer, the front 8 ft plus the overhang is lodgings, that's complete. Now I'm in the process of building a shop in the back 16 ft. Thanks for the tour that was awesome.

Stanley style planes sizes 1-4 are designed to place only three fingers on the handle. You don't need every finger crammed in there to move it. Many woodworking hand tools are designed like this if they are small already. Fantastic shop! I've got more room but I'm still very jealous because I have so much junk in the way of everything. Oh those right angle clamps look identical to my Wolfcraft ones I picked up on sale at Menard's.

There's always more room for clamps. Once you think you're out of space start clamping them together. Voila you just doubled your clamp storage space! Thanks for sharing I'm checking out this video for ideas for my 10x10 shed shop.

My 'shop is smaller than 6’x6’, I think it’s something like 5’9”x5’6” but I don’t want to mislead. I thought I had some photographs on my iPad but I must have deleted them because I'm building a new woodwork table with cabinet in November. It’s amazing what we can fit in small spaces, though I don’t have a lathe...yet! But I have a significant birthday next year. I also have a flyover flat (apartment) over the top of my shop, which gives me shelter outside. Because I have disabilities I can only do small projects, which means I can get away with the smallest DIY tools which always turn out good value for me. Small shops are a never ending project as we think up new ways of saving space. A great video, thank you.

I have the Delta TS350 table saw with the cast iron side wings. Looks like you have he same one with the stamped. How do you like it? I feel it’s accurate enough but I hate that it takes so long for the blade to stop spinning and dust collection sucks. I love seeing small shops like this. Mine is about double the size of yours, but I still like seeing the way guys figure out how to store things in a small shop. Thanks for sharing, and hope you have a good one!

I'm back! I was curious about the lathe cover. Did you make it or purchased it and if so where did you buy it. Also if you made it, what type of material is it? Thanks! You can remove the kill switch inside your grinder or just remove the wire. It is pretty easy to tell if it's over-heating when the casing begins to get really warm you turn it off for a few minutes so it can cool down. -Just a thought.

So you open the back door when you run anything over what about 24" on the table saw, right? I'm trying to set up my 8x6 and my job site Dewalt is on the larger end as far as job site saws go. Figuring out how to do the outfeed without using casters and moving the saw is my main issue right now. I think I've settled on a small window with an outfeed/assembly table on the other side...this isn't really ideal though.
@CNTHINGS
4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's what I do. I've also thought of just putting a slide open slot in the existing door since I'm mostly sawing flat stock anyway but it could get a bit dangerous if you're doing long cutting or something like that.
