For anyone looking to organize their spaces, please don't buy more plastic containers to put stuff in. You can reuse containers you already have, or pick up some baskets or plastic tubs for cheap at a thrift store, and maybe hit them with a cool color of spray paint so they all match. But there's no need to make even more new plastic -- especially this super brittle stuff, we all know it won't look clear and classy for long.

It’s definitely silly to care about displaying vs hiding pads, but it’s also ill-advised to have pads sitting out of the box/a closed container for months in a moisture-filled room like your bathroom. Most of those plastic wrappers aren’t 100% sealed all the way around, and leaving them out like that is just inviting mold and mildew to collect in those pads 🤢

Lots of commenters are like “I’d never have the pads out in the open like that”, and this makes me wonder if y’all have never woken up, sprinted to the bathroom and needed to grab a pad in a hurry. I switched from disposables to cloth pads over a year ago, and I like the cloth a lot better, but I do see advantages to having pads in easy reach. (To clarify, I always kept my disposables out of sight, but if you don’t have to do that, why do it, other than moisture concerns?) PS: I highly recommend switching to cloth to anyone whose on the fence. I’ve saved a lot of money this way, since I’ve only spent $50-60 on menstrual products in the last 15 months or so. (EDIT: In case the phrasing of this part was unclear, I meant $50-60 for the entire 15 months, which averages out to $4 per month or less. With disposables, I was spending way more than $4 per month.)

Well many are not commenting that display of pads are wrong... they are just saying exposing then in open environment for long time ( like for month it will to finish all of them even when multiple people are using it) may lead to settlement of bacterias and other small organisms... Also theirs a odour of pads which might fade away due to exposure to open air ... just keeping them in a close box will be a good stuff for hygiene too right ?

They have these stackable boxes with sayings on them at Dollar General. I bought a whole set that has 4 boxes I believe. The largest one was about $7, so not bad. I use the large box for pads & tampons, the next one for hair supplies, the next one for nail supplies and the smallest one for panty liners. The largest fits pads perfectly & that small one fits the panty liners perfectly. They’re ascetically pleasing, sturdy, and close by magnet. I’ve had mine for about 3 years & get a lot of compliments on them even though no one can tell what’s inside. They come out with different sets all the time though. One of my favorite items. I love them 💜

I have a super small bathroom and one of the most helpful pieces of storage is a cabinet type thing with shelves. It has the right height and width to fit perfectly over top of the toilet tank. My aunt lived here before me and she put some slabs of wood underneath the legs to give it some extra height to make it work better. Maybe you could find something like that? It stinks having limited space, but there are definitely solutions!

I actually like the idea for the pads. For 3 maybe 4 generations our family has had 10 girls to 1 boy ratio. I'm not worried about dust or moisture because these pads will cycle very very quickly at our house. So when family comes to visit and literally almost everyone is on their menstrual cycles at the same time, this open option would have saved a lot of arguments and embarrassing moments when needing to ask for a hidden stash of pads and or the are all gone and you get the scream calling your name. The one that says there's no more pads and your stuck because there isn't enough toilet tissue to make a emergency pad Also in some families like mine, we have all kinds of flows or bleeders. We have heavy, medium and not to many lite. We also have a variety of durations such as 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, 10 days , post partem and those that use pads for incontinence issues. At least having them available like this would help all of us keep track and have those important feminine conversations that unfortunately don't happen because folks are to embarrassed to talk about natural life topics Thank you thank you thank you for posting this video. 🎉💯👑💛🤠🖖
