What is totally pathetic is that I paid $7000 to be taught this stuff in nursing school, and this guy on KZitem has taught me more than my paid anatomy professors. Thank you for making anatomy accessible and easy to understand.

From the bottom of my heart, I say a prayer that God will bless you for what you do here. I cannot stop watching all your anatomy videos. To think I have passed through schools, sixth form & University twice (Biomedical Science & Nursing) & is only now that I'm watching your videos, that the whole human body is clearer to me. Thank God for youtube & talented, knowledgeable people like you.

Thank you so much. You are a life saver. My school divides healthy physiology and histology from pathophysiology and anatomy classes by a few months and I was struggling to connect and review it all together. My notes aren't as good sources as actually looking at a histology slide and have someone walk you through it, when the anatomy is fresh in your mind. Makes it much easier to dive into the pathophys processes after that. Thank you so much!

This is awesome! I have an ileostomy with only 100cm of ileum left, and no jejunum, this explains it for me like no one else has. It explains my anemia, b12, magnesium and potassium deficiencies, One thing I don't understand is why those of us with ileostomies are prone to blockages? Doesn't waste just come out earlier?

Very interesting as always sir. I was particularly interested in the ileum as I have had a urostomy for many years and as you know a section oc ileum is used to make the stoma. As I have had to have it refashioned several times it is reassuring to know that there is plenty left if necessary for a repeat performance!

Very interesting. Can you explain why so much fat covers the intestines and causes that area to be so extended. Is it due to diet or is their something that is not functioning properly between the small and large bowel. I haven't studied anatomy or the other ology you mentioned. It's just that this weight gain and sluggishness is very tiring. These fats in this area is VERY hard to get rid off. Can you help?

n I have an ileostomy. My large intestine was removed and my small intestine protrudes through my abdomen. I poo uncontrollably into a bag, which i change each day... at which point i get to say hello to my small intestine (stoma)... it resembles a bit of arctic red salmon sushi poking out my stomach. It wriggles around lots, like it has a mind and personality of its own... its a cool fact that your digestive system has more neurones than the brain. Because i lost my large intestine, I struggle to absorb water and salt... although my small intestine has adapted over time to absorb more water than a normal person. How did i get here? I had ulcerative colitis which got so bad i almost died from toxic megacolon. How did it get this bad? Through misdiagnosis and ignoring worsening symptoms until it was too late... i thank every day that I am alive, and have come to embrace life with a stoma... but if you are reading this, i encourage you to find out about crones and colitis and educate others about these all too common illnesses.
