When you live, work and play in small quarters, organization is key, but for someone like me who is not innately neat and tidy, the systems have to be idiot proof and easy to maintain. I tried baskets and benches for this storage corner on my small porch, but they all turned into a garbage corner. My entryway became something I dreaded to see every day.
After every KZitem DIY project and renovation projects on my rental properties, leftover materials and garden supplies piled up on my small porch. I knew I wanted wood bins with open shelves that would be on wheels for portability and for easy clean up underneath; bins that would be able to handle water splashes from potted plants up above, and bins that would have an aerated cover on top for a bit of camouflage from the outside world. Did I mention all of this needed to be on budget as well?
Once I found the ideal bins at the ideal price at Michaels Craft store, the wood bins needed a little Nutshell makeover to have them fit perfectly to the task at hand: caster wheels, custom wood tops, hole saw holes on top for water drainage, hinges and terracotta pots to corral smaller gardening accessories.
