I like the white hydrangeas And so thankful you didn't fall off the wall. Was interested in the tueter on the corner of primrose cottage. Did you make it?.

I think your 30 minute idea is good; helps in being organized and working toward a goal. I like the idea of the hydrangeas as long as they wouldn't be in afternoon sun. I think the space is too narrow for a bench. I think of my garden areas as "compartments" like you have named different areas in your landscape. Each morning I check on all of my garden areas, and I decide which "compartment" needs the most work that day or week. It helps me to focus on one area at a time.

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking Panicle Hydrangeas which in our climate does great in full sun. It may be too narrow but we will find out by giving it a try. One thing is certain, I can always move it if need be.

I would put in the hydrangea hedge. Perfect for screening, low maintenance and beautiful 🌼🐝

I think that will work best as well, even though it is a narrow space I can keep them pruned.

It was amazing how much I got done in that little bit of time. I thought it would take much longer. Sometimes just starting is the ticket. Now I am brainstorming what to plant.

Thanks so much! 😊 I know we will have fun with it! I did not realize how much full sun this gets, I thought it was more shade. But I was so wrong.

Hi Pam! 😊 You are so right when you said it’s easy to get overwhelmed knowing how much we’d like to get done… but the 30 minute increments… brilliant!! Love watching you develop these ‘new’ areas. Question 🙋🏼♀️ is that a clumping bamboo you have? Will you keep it potted or plant into the ground? Just curious 😃 I’ve just recently been thinking I may want some bamboo for a patio wall so soften and cool things down Would love your thoughts

No this is not clumping bamboo and that is why I keep it in pots. The friend who I got it from had it growing rampantly EVERYWHERE as it had just taken off. Her son brought in heavy equipment and dug it all out. It is tough and does great in pots so I don't need to put it in the ground. The two clumping bamboos I have just don't fill in as nicely, so far so I will just propagate this and add more pots of it here and there. I make sure the pots do not touch the ground at all so it does not inadvertantly root.

That is so kind, but it ended up being easier than I anticipated. Now for the fun part. Choosing what to plant in the area.

White flowers would disappear with your white background. Bright colors would really show up with the white. Primary colors.

White background? I think I am missing something. I was thinking a white and blue palette for this space but I am contemplating the bloom times too. So I can have pretty color all season long.

@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse isn’t your wall white? I was thinking if you had tall white blooms they would fade into the white siding background. The color is showing white on the video. 😂

Definitely don’t need a timer here in WI-🥵🦟 dressing like it’s winter against mosquitoes and dew points in the upper 70s will limit the time outside. It took two tries to get some garden chores done yesterday it was so hot and humid. It’s probably the worst summer I can remember to be outside. Glad you’re able to enjoy it. I’ve taken to binoculars to view some new flowers that I’m growing-yes, it’s that bad.

Yikes. I know many complain about living in California but I love it here. We have the most moderate climate. We live briefly in another state and it was terrible, blazing hot then to below zero temps and gale force winds out of no where. Blew the roses right off my plants. There was no mild spring and fall, I hated it. We moved back before a year was up. Yep, I am a weather wimp!

@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse I was just reading comments on a MN channel and it was a CA person saying how hot and dry it was and was jelly of green grass. And still another comment from the south wishing they had cool summers. I soon told them the truth 😂
