My favorite tip you’ve given in previous videos is the over the door pocket organizer. I think it’s meant for shoes. I have on in the pantry for quick grab snacks and one in my front closet for hats and gloves. There are 6 rows of 3 pockets and 6 people in my home. Everyone gets their own row.
@eileensantana1861
5 жыл бұрын
I took off the metal hooks, cut hole in the bottom of all but the last row of pockets, then hung one of these with picture hooks on the back wall of my closet. I use it to store rolls of wrapping paper. *I believe I also had to cut one or two rows off the bottom before I did this, so it would be the right size*

One of my favorite videos from you, I have been watching for a couple of years and I Love that you talked about organization in unconventional spaces. I live in an apartment which is more spacious then most but it’s still an apartment. I hung an Octoganal Teal framed mirror as decor at sitting level for my teenager to be able to do their hair in the living room by using our Large Ottoman which is underneath it, the end table to the left houses their dryer and straightener keeping it out of sight. The Bathroom is small and the electrical outlet does not work so this has been a great solution and no one would know our living room doubles as a salon. It also works as it is just as you exit the main living space to the Den

I have a 3 tier wire basket thing on the wall of our laundry room (right off the garage) with hooks for backpacks underneath. One basket for each kid plus one for Girl Scouts. I also now have a bin in each kids closet where I store any papers I want to save (artwork, etc). Having a defined place to put that stuff has really cut down on the amount of random papers around the kitchen!

I keep my daughters hair things in the kitchen/diner. We have a wooden dresser and I keep them in one of the drawers. Makes it so easy to do her hair before we go. I also keep a flannel (wash cloth) or baby wipes near the back door. That way when we're about to leave and I realise my kids still have jam/porridge all over their face/school jumper, I can give them a quick wipe. And baby wipes have the bonus of being really good at getting messes off clothes. The one thing I know I should do is go to bed earlier and get up earlier. Hopefully my kids will be better at managing their sleeping patterns then I am! But seriously, a while back I started getting up half an hour earlier and it made everything so much easier. I really should go back to that.
