Woot! That a mighty looking dusk pan... errr i mean air ramp. That's funny how the aluminum just fall apart the first time! Its good to see you recycle old car parts instead of fabricating everything from scratch, even though at times it might be easier. So happy on your work and progress! I can't wait to see the next video and how you plan to do the pedal box assembly. Ooooo i can't wait!!!

Oh maaaaaaan..... I'm working right now on the desing of the pedal box. My issue...the freaking Smart is really small...for real, super small. So building a ''racing'' pedal box with the pivot at the bottom...it just ain't gonna happen, not enough room. And building a standard pedal box (pivot at the top) like every single car...kind of boring.. right? So for now, my thoughts are on building a reverse bottom pivot pedal box...what do you think about it?

Viny B oh boy, I don’t think I could help you there. I have seen a Smart car build by a group on Facebook call Fubar Racing. They have a few hundred pictures of how they build their smart car with a Toyota engine. I really like how they made the clutch and master cylinder work. Keeping the stock brake booster and building a new gas pedal. The clutch is on top of the dead pedal so minimal cutting and master cylinder is tucked behind the brake pedal. The gas pedal is cable so they just use a lever system to pull the cable. I read that the with a bike engine, the clutch engagement is going to be tricky. The article suggest you need like a compound movement on the gas pedal to help the car get going from a stop since torque is high in rpm. From my understanding, they made a pedal system where ex: 3” travel, 0-1.5” is 30% of throttle, 1.5”-3” is 70% since once the car is moving the engagement isn’t as bad. The reverse pedal system isn’t bad if you plan on removing or relocating the brake booster. That thing is bulky. Fasterprom on KZitem actually did a reverse system like on their smart car build. They’re pro fabricator like yourself so they were able to pull it off. I don’t think it’s pretty and it leave a big hole at your feet where the pedal levers go to the lower side. Then you need to cover up the hole later on otherwise dust would get into the cabin. But in their case it doesn’t matter since the car is caged and fully exposed. For my build I would go the route of Fubar. Tuck the master cylinder behind the brake pedal and have a lever system like your suspension. Route the throttle cable between the seat. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! It’s really great you spend the time to read everyone’s comments and reply. I really enjoy our interaction though through comment it’s still great nonetheless. I hope your able to draw some inspiration from those creators and I look forward to your next video. I’m still laughing at the *shhhh* slap subscribe tape over mouth* scene from last episode. That made my day. Thank you.

AhAH....so you didn't think you can help.... au contraire mon cher! Wow, that is good info! I checked Fubar Racing, thanks for the tip...They are working hard on that project OMG! I will not reused the smart master, but a twin master setup (for the brakes). As I was reading your reply, I though about having a reverse pedal box, through the floor!! I will cut the floor and make a box, so all the masters will be protected from underneath and then I will cover it up with a aluminium plate! Oh yes! I think we have it Glazecase! Thanks man! See you in 11 days for the next episode...the fuel tank...that FU(*?%*% fuel tank! ✌

Your videos are amazing in quality. Its inspiring to watch you design parts and fabricate them yourself. Keep up the amazing work!!!!! It takes time to get a lot of subscribers and I don't doubt you will get them.

Instead of putting a differential on it, you could consider the possibility to use a 4x4 freewheel on each side of the rear shaft. So when the action comes from the shaft it turns the wheel, and when the motion comes from the wheel it turns free . This would be also a self locking differential.

What no differential.... with a rear engine and such a short wheelbase steering is going to be seriously difficult..... Great videos dude im loving it

Thats incredible, you could sale subframe's and make a killing. Vinyl B's custom subframe shop. Imagine if you could do it in Aluminum or even better titanium.
