Here's how I made my smart monitor stand with voice-controlled LED lights.
A monitor stand will help keep a desk much tidier. You also get more space as all the space that the stands for the monitors did use you can now use for other things on the desktop.
I did not want to make a boring monitor stand that was just a shelf. I have integrated smart LED lights that you can control with an app on the phone or with your own voice via your smart assistants such as Alexa or Google assistant.
But I have also integrated a memory card reader with a USB hub and a shelf for my memory cards. I like taking care of my memory cards with pictures, this is an extra backup that I've gotten used to in the past.
I have not made a cut list for this monitor stand, this is because this is specifically for my needs and how big my desk is. You should think about what you want to have under the shelf of the monitor stand to decide how high it should be. For my part, I wanted it to be high enough that I could have my Google home under the shelf, so mine is 15.5 cm from the surface of the desk.
