Oooooops! Ron, I covered my 'BD holes with 3/4 MDF on one of those HF $20.00 (US dollars) other brand light portable workbenchs. I live in a 'rental' in Kansas and I have to keep all projects and major tools on the simple side. I am getting ready to do the "gift-giving" crazy from my outdoor, patio,. uncovered, workshop while the Kansas-Weather is a balmy (sp) 73°f. I am a first-time, out of storage, 79 year-old DIY'er.

After a few tries at cutting a 1/4 x 1/4 guide, I ended up 3d printing one 6.35mm x 6.35 mm x 50mm out of wood fiber pla + filament. Fits perfectly.

Would it be better to put two vertical t-track slots on the back of the fence with the spacer? Sliding it right to left to install means it could be slightly off center.

Have you ever considered to use the trailer valet to drive the cart up the ramp to store in the smart woodshop. Basically a motorized cart for moving the workbenches?

Hey Ron, I noticed that your SRT do not have the 4 slots for the clamps that hold it to the bench. Are you using Smart Connect Dogs to hold it down? If so how many to you use per SRT?. Thanks

Hey Ron, What hose are you using on the Kapex? Its a monster! I bet you get really good dust collection out of it since you can move a large volume of air through it.

This is the hose I have. amzn.to/3zqIj2u I have two of them: one on my floater vac for general clean up and one on the Smart Station. They are my favorite hose.

@@TheSmartWoodshop I just bought a Mr. nozzle hose as you suggested. Question, how did you fit the hose end (light gray) on the Kapex dust port? the only way I can see to get it to fit over the dust port would be to heat the light gray end in an oven or maybe with a heat gun

I bought the router table plans, is it possible to include these plans?

The base plate does not have to be accurately square to anything. A router is a rotary cutter- it does not have any horizontal alignment.
@TheSmartWoodshop

The accurate placement is left to right and front to back, I didn't;t say square, but that does also square it to the table.

@@TheSmartWoodshop Front to back is also not critical- that is the stroke direction. You can actually key it to a router table insert- but I prefer a zero height sliding fence, as this retains the cutting height set on the router, and prevents any variation in base plate locating height. Tends to give better dust extraction, also. Insert slots in the table give the alignment.
