My home town. You stopped at my old house on the corner of Holly Lane, by church. Brings back memories. I lived in Smethwick from 70's until 2003. Now in Wales.

Im glad you got a shot of aunty-ji that owns the blue gate shop by the bridge. she is wonderful and has been running that shop for many decades. a true smethwick legend. she smiled at you too. perfect

Back in time, lived on stoney lane. Went to smethwick hall, no tollgate market I see & no Tesco's. Moved to liverpool in 91. The good ol days.

I remember this high street , back in the day it Blue Gate i think its the name of the pub. I remember lots of house parties back then. Plus I used to go West Smethwick College. Thumbermill baths not far there. My old School leasow ( i hope I spelt it right ) plus George Betts School too. Where i was in primary school very early days.

38:30 I heard the man say the church has been there couple hundred years. There has been a church on this site since 1838. I have been there many time for wedding and the like.

Victoria we used play football twenty a side because everyone want to play football, funfare comes to the park alot and Corbett Street I used live just around the corner from the Victoria Park and down the road from the park is Edgbaston Road then continued to the council house to west Smethwick High Street .

Awesome array of civic and religious buildings and monuments plus a massive amount of trees throughout. I would have picked out that disgusting blue plastic bag spoiling nature. IT is time for citizens to take care about our neighbourhoods. THX
