You know you can automatically open this knife when you take it out your pocket right? That’s why the ring is there so you can quickly grab the ring and pull the knife backwards and up out of the pocket and the guard of the blade catches on the corner of your pocket and pulls the knife open.

@@verysurvival Years ago and I do mean years probably 15 or 20 or more I had my bad experience and nick named them the tinker toys of knives unlike tinker toys which are passed on to the next generation the 2 knives I speak of went on to the trash bin . but I would have to argue that the price is not always the answer. I a have stuck with low and mid level knives for over 50 years and those were the only ones to disappoint. The problem doing that is you end up with enough knives to fill a wear house . The knives I speak of all suffer from the same ailment crappy sheaths ,so then when I retired I got into the sheath making for the knives I really like and it's been nothing but fun since . Took a good year of practice to figure that all out and be able to do it correctly . Happy Trails

Great review HT. You covered all the bases....twice. Surprised you didn't try to shred an aluminium soda can. The coup de gras of the youtube survival knife gauntlet tests. Anyway, good show then. I have a different version of SW M&P. It's a 13GLS, a great little budget pocket knife with open assist, like yours. Love it, except my pocket clip broke. Shite! Been trying to find a replacement clip but cant locate where to order it from. Apparently Taylor brands, LLC makes these SW knives but like I say, haven't pinned down how to order the pocket clip yet. If you know another option let me know please. Great work on the review as per usual; a solid knife for the price.

Hi Dave, great review and never seen that knife before! Would you say the sharp first corner adds to the cutting ability? I see people commenting "it's not an EDC knife" maybe not for them, but like you point out it's highly functional with the finger ring, also the fine point can have a multitude of uses that other knifes don't, and it looks really comfortable in the fingers or to grip, and most importantly it looks bloody cool!!
