Hi, I'm from north east Wisconsin and I bought a 1957 Willy with a fourth shifter two years ago. It shifts the same as yours in this video. The body is almost rust free because it's been garaged all its life. The engine is tight though so it only cost me $ 800 dollars. I've been watching your jeep video's and I think they're great. You do a very good job describing things for guys like me who are trying to learn as much as possible. Thank you very much for the Jeep video's and I'm hoping you can continue for years to come. Tim.

Damn I stumbled on this jeep for sale a few weeks ago. Kicking myself for not coming down and buying it from you. I didn’t have the heart to cut up a perfectly restorable m38a1 though. That overdrive though!! They aren’t cheap new Lol! Love the flat fender content. Willywonka? Idk I’ll keep thinking of a channel name.

That Warn / Saturn overdrive is the best single upgrade available for early Jeeps. If seeking to add one to a vehicle without, be sure to match the spline count of the OD to the transfer case output.

Sounded decent. Was the little "jump" it had when it started rolling from the clutch problem?

I love the Jeep.... I think it would be a great project... Anyway, changing the name of the channel , go for it... I have watched for a long while and happy to keep watching. Love old jeeps and want to get one soon, I dont care what you name it. I love Tater79bj comment with Rusty Junk off road, but maybe rusty jeeps off road. Hey do you think you will do any YJs in the future? you dont have to just wanted to ask...

I'm offering $100 to whoever comes up with the perfect channel name. I've been thinking for months without any luck. Looking for something that is *not* genre specific like Willys or Jeep. Catchy and memorable - but could be used as a brand name.

@@TurnNBurn Thanks, good to know. My M38 has axe and shovel indents on passenger side. Plus the second battery holder on passenger side cowling with lid. But, my MB has been modified or molested so much, it’s not funny. A WWII Jeep with a Japanese diesel. Oh my. Hahaha.

@@TurnNBurn 08:34 - The "Goofy" little headlight guards are original to the M38 as is the hinged grille (tilts forward) with those particular headlight wells. The body. however. lacks the 'pioneer tool' indents on passenger side as well as the battery box that would be on the cowl of an M38 'tub'. Your body is CJ2A, CJ3A, or repop.
