C'mon you need to make this longer, this is one of the smoothest caulking I've seen without having to go back and smooth it out.

I never thought about it before but it makes sense now. Pushing does seem like it would be forcing the caulk in tighter over pulling but for most DIYers either way will be fine.

never put flame to the tip of your caulk before filling holes with it, it burns.

@scottmoto - They’re being childish. When they say caulk, they’re referring to their “co*k” . I would refer to it as my “caulk GUN“, if I was still 12. Lol.

@@MASTER3RDEYE this is hilarious. I have been a professional caulker for over 45 years. NO PROFESSIONAL pushes the gun. You can completely fill the joint by pulling the gun. All you have to do is angle the tip correctly.the sealant is then pushed slightly in front of the tip forcing it into the joint. Not laying on top of it. Our basic contract starts at 300 lineal feet per day. 1500 feet per week.6000 feet per month.72000 feet per year That’s over 130 miles in 10 years. I’ve been doing for over 45. We often have to do random testing to verify the sealant is bonded and that the joint is full and of correct configuration. How much sealant have you installed. I’m gonna guess less than 100 miles.

I think the video is edited in the wrong order. The tip should be cut off first. The remaining portion is heated and pinched with the washers. This has the reverse order.

you shouldn't leave home without a knife, jacket, and a lighter. ever. other items are nice, but those are the minimum you must always carry. I almost died once because I had quite smoking, and gotten out of the habit of carrying a lighter with me. dumb. hitch hiking in negative 17° and windy, of the mBey 4 cars that passed me in a several hour walk, none picked me up. I had a coT on, but had no long johns on, it was a warm 32° and sunny that day, but when the sun went down in that canyon at about 3pm, it got real cold real fast, and I was unable to light a fire and just wait by it till a car stopped. I had to keep walking. finally someone picked me up. when I got home and I to a tub, my legs were almost black, and almost cold water felt like fire on them. I keep a lighter with me at all times now. that entire walk, those 3 items the old man always told me to have kept playing in my head. I had just come back from. back east with 7k in my pockets, after a long wi get of being broke, and I would have lit it on fire rather than freeze to death, but I couldn't even do that. there was tons of fuel around though, there would have been no reason to light my money on fire. I can light a fire without paper, and now that I'm much older, I think I could light one without a lighter, but I was 24years old, and didn't know these things yet. internet was not really a thing yet, or at least not a fat thing, and not where I lived at all, but regardless af using a drill bow or whatever, a Bic is so much easier, and takes up very little real estate in the back pocket.
