It's just in 4/4 the whole way - took me ages to figure it out. The first section is just grouped weirdly, you can think of it in bars of 9/8 then 13/8 and stuff when the hits come but once you just count 4 through it starts to make sense

@@JTonthedrums I'm not sorry for trying out the new mix and preferring the original, which is my favourite Snarky Puppy piece. I personally believe that both positive and negative opinions are valuable. Perhaps there are things about this mix which improve on the previous one, but which I overlooked. In this case I hope someone can enlighten me, because I want to learn to appreciate new feelings and sounds of course.

randomwindowsstuffz Well, it appears the complaints are legit. I have to admit that I didn’t listen to this before replying to comments. It seems that some things have been changed as well as remastered. So, sorry for jumping the gun. My reply now is simply 😐🤔🧐🤦🏽♂️ … 🤣

Well, my initial reply was wrong. It isn’t you. Now that I’ve actually listened to it, song with other songs, it appears some things have been changed, not just remastered. So you’re correct. The drum sound now does not match, as it is not the original drum sounds. Specifically the snares. My response now is 😐🤔🧐🤦🏽♂️😐
