Listener Q&A:
With the data coming out that having a chronic mild hyponatremia is detrimental I've been more attentive to a sodium between 132 and 135 for example. Usually I'm redoing the workup and verifying that it's SIADH. But then what do I do for management besides stop common medications? That doesn't seem to correct it most of the time. Should I be telling my 70-year-olds on two anti-hypertensives to make sure they eat all the salt in the bottom of the pretzel bag?
