I love the DARK movie theatre. When it was At the Movies, the theatre had all the lights on. I really love the set on this . Best era for this show .

I catch myself waiting for these to pop up everyday now. Never seen any of these but I think I might just watch American Graffiti tonight.

I believe the guy who made it also made a hit sci-fi film a year earlier.

"American Graffiti " was released in 1973 not 1974 as Roger Ebert stated.

It was ok, very dated though, Ellen Burstyn and Alan Alda are very Good, but not sure why she was nominated for Best Actress when there were so many more deserving

I saw "Movie, Movie" in the theatre when it was new. The ONLY reason I went was because A friend of mine worked at a movie theatre for about a year ; so we got in for free . I cannot remember ANYTHING about the movie .

They might've said "NO" to "Ice Castles", but oh, my goodness, it's such a wonderfully and beautifully made picture, involving the chemistry between Robby Benson and Lynn-Holly Johnson (in her first film role), as well as the beautiful signature song, "Through the Eyes of Love", by Melissa Manchester. I will admit it had its share of rough moments throughout, but it's still a great movie, and an inspiring one, at that, while on ice. 💙⛸🧊🐦🌹💙

I've always loved Robby Benson- I thought he was just OUSTANDING at this role in Ice Castles! Fun Fact: the latest he has done is directed a few 'Friends' episodes!!

I loved him too!! He also did a movie named " Death Be Not Proud". I think that was the first movie he starred in.

Oh shut up, Gene. Lynn Holly Johnson was amazing and that’s all that matters. And Love Story was great! 😂😂😂

Thank you for posting this wonderful blast from the past! But PLEASE don’t up-sample the frame rate like that! It makes it look like a cheap soap opera, and it’s not true at all to the original broadcast. Thank you!

Personally, I enjoyed “The other side of the mountain “. I remember seeing it as a kid in the theater. The difference was it was a true story. I would recommend checking it out.

@@stonegasman3866 Never saw the second one. And I wasn’t particularly interested in the personal misdeeds of the actors. Say what you will, nobody nowadays has ever even heard of Jill Kinmont. I certainly wouldn’t have if not for a movie I saw over 40 years ago. To me it was just an inspiring movie about overcoming adversity..why can’t it just be that?. People normally don’t go to the theater for documentaries..Peace

His best performance was as the evil Senator in The Aviator when he was 70.
