I would hesitate to say it’s even a complete parental failure. You can do everything right, but if your 12 year old boy spends his lunchtime at school with the wrong person once or twice this is what can happen. You can do absolutely everything right and it only takes two hours at the wrong kid’s house. Parents should be monitoring what their kids are watching online 1000%, but who’s to say these kids aren’t hiding it from their parents you know? Idk, I’ve just seen the devastation on parents’ faces when they learn their kids are like this, I’ve seen parents wonder what they missed or what they did wrong when they did everything they could. @bigmuncher589Everyone always uses “It happens in every generation” as an excuse for everything. There’s quite a substantial difference in culture and how it’s spread and what/who it influences in genz and gen alpha. The internet made it extremely easy to both get influenced by extremely negative ideologies and to keep yourself trapped in that bubble.
@xcastielx
10 ай бұрын
@bigmuncher589 it feels kind of different now, because one of the only ways to break out of these thought processes is through meeting others with different opinions. And there are two things off the top of my head that would prevent that kind of exposure to differing opinion. One, internet niches can somewhat fill your social need and therefore can prevent you from seeking people on the outside of those group chats (and just lurking for those too anxious to participate in chatting itself). Two, with how socially anxious a lot of younger folks have developed, thanks to the pressures of the modern world alongside being left to be raised by the internet rather than taught how to communicate by their parents, a lot of these kids are gonna be too anxious/angry to figure out HOW to communicate with different friends, especially in person, so they'll just stick to the social scripts that are easier to not fumble through, the hateful and invulnerable ones. I think a lot will grow out of it, of course they will, not everyone will develop like how I just described, people are pretty incredible and change all the time. But man, I feel a lot more folks are going to live some very lonely lives in the coming decades. Unless some kind of cultural awakening happens within the niches themselves, otherwise those ideas just aren't going to permeate. Maybe I'm wrong, I hope so.

@@ghoultooth EXACTLY. Obviously with young kids (generally younger than 13 but theres no hard rule), child locks should be on and parents should probably be keeping an eye out on their kids, but honestly its less about whether the parents are keeping an eagle eye on their kids, and more about teaching their kids to be more trustworthy in such a way that they wont be attracted to gross content like sneako's in the first place, and also getting to know their kids so that if they do watch that kind of content, they can be taught why its bad before its too late. These kids are openly mysogynistic, homophobic, etc, im sure the parents know, and most likely havent done much about it. The vast majority of kids start learning to do that after getting disciplined by their parents for doing something stupid. Doesn't change the fact that they need to learn better.
@idonotresidehere.5709
10 ай бұрын
@@tomisaacson2762 Yes, "IF" a kid uses that privacy in a self destructive way. But if they're not showing any signs that they are, and are generally trustworthy, then you shouldnt invade their privacy prophylactively (unless theyre below 13 or smthn in which case those child locks should be on anyways). And theres a difference between kids hiding shit bc thats just what kids do, and kids learning to hide everything from their parents bc they dont trust their parents and have 0 privacy. Obv at an age appropriate level, but teens NEED a level of privacy for mental wellbeing. Kids w no privacy will often seek it wherever they can find it, which is more likely to be in self destructive ways. It does horrible things to a kid to never feel like they have real privacy, and can be legitametly traumatizing. A certain amount of privacy is essential to mental health. Again, at an appropriate age and also dependent on the child and how well theyve shown themselves to be trustworthy. And a side note about kids hiding shit bc they want to avoid getting disciplined, generally, as a parent, you want to avoid making your kids so scared of discipline that they hide things that might actually be a danger to them. ofc kids are often gonna wanna avoid consequences, but there are ways of parenting that lessen the chances of them hiding smthn they really shouldnt. But for that, a certain amount of trust between parent and child is needed. Edit: Smthn very very important that i forgot to add is that these kids probably have parents that dont rlly care that their kids are acting that way. Kids who are sneako fans usually have mysogynistic homophobic parents. Enviroment is so much more impactful than whatever youtube r theyre watching. A kid who already understands that mysogyny is bad probably isint gonna watch sneako and suddenly be a fan. There are edge cases where its a sort of rebellion against parents and enviroment, but ill point out that thats often a sign of abuse or other struggles a kid might be going through. So many comments seem to think that most sneako fans have dismayed parents that have nothing to do w their kids bad behaviour but thats probably just not the case. Im not saying that most of the parents probably share those beliefs, but theyve likely done very little to raise thier kids in a way that would have prevented this behavoiur in most kids. Ppl like sneako encourage this stuff in kids but usually dont create it.

just saw his most recent tweet, he’s not sorry at all and encourages what the kids did. (not through the whole video idk if this has been mentioned yet) Him, tate, and the other red pill content creators literally turned my little brother misogynistic, racist, homophobic and transphobic. I am non-binary and pansexual, my little brother talks shit about me and calls me slurs and either calls me something disgusting for being trans or he denies that I’m trans at all and acts misogynistic because I was born female. Most of my fsmily is conservative so they don’t care. They make me feel so disgusting. I’m moving out with my best friend the moment I turn 18. my other family members were tolerable ig but my little brother literally thinks I’m the scum of the earth. (Literally like a year ago he did not care at all abt women, gay or trans people.)

I am so damn sorry you have to live in this environment. I'm 30 now, but I went through the same thing for being queer (also have a bigoted family and little brother) and it was absolute torture, day in and out. Left for school one day at 17 and just didn't go back. There were consequences but I don't regret it one bit. I hope you have a support system of safe people who love you wholly. Even though I don't know you, I believe in you wholeheartedly. You will have a life free from their imprisonment. Keep holding on. 🖤

I scrolled to find someone saying this when I saw the clip, the kid who blanked is 100% the smartest one there. Being uncomfortable and being hyper-aware that you're being broadcasted and recorded is the smart move here. In 5 or 10 years (or even now if his parents saw the video) this kid is going to be so thankful he kept his mouth shut.

people will say that these are just "jokes" and they're not being serious and that this doesn't have an effect on young boys or wtv but these kids are actually going out and being like this to strangers. ive been yelled at by these stupid middle school boys so many times. I was once hanging out at my friends school campus with two of my friends and this 8 year old came up to us with a group of about 5 other boys and he started calling us slurs and commenting on our bodies when we told him we weren't interested in him (cause he's 8 and we're 14 and 13??) and then the whole group started just nagging us and asking "are you guys gay? are you gay??" this genuinely happens whenever I go with my friends. I don't wanna go into detail ab what they said exactly but my dad threatened to call the police over it if that gives you an idea. it's so upsetting to have to deal with

As an ex red pill kid, now almost an adult, I feel so weirded out by these creeps, like at least I was on the pipeline because I liked women, not because I hated them! And also, idk, it's just weird how I really thought gen Z was the last on the full hate cycle, I mean maybe we are the last ones to pass down the hate cycle to the next generation, I really thought gen alpha wasn't gonna catch the hate train, but i guess most of them are millenials's children. And also trans rights are human rights, much love to you all from brazil, everything's gonna be ok.

The generations thing is a lie! Please don’t fall for it. It has much more to do with the location you were raised in, and in these kids’ cases, internet influence has alot to do with it, rather than their parents. If anything, most millennials I know are working two jobs or struggling to leave home, and can’t afford to pay rent. Strauss and Howe generation crisis theory was created by two well off white guys that took no consideration in the differences in culture between marginalized groups across generations. It was also originally only exclusive to US society, which is why the crisis benchmarks they used were uniquely American events. I’m a trans autistic poc born in the early 90s, and the stuff they assumed about millennials is so off base that it hurts. Moreover, not only did they make the cut off at 2004 and they didn’t even consider Gen Z much at all, they still felt entitled enough to predict different gens up to 2069! It’s even worse that so many people have now bought into an actual capitalist-driven marketing and research concept that was widely rejected in academia and considered pseudoscience until politicians, think tanks like Pew Research and online outlets like Buzzfeed began to profit off it.

@@laurabetts4924Most people I see who fell into it simply grew out of it! There were others that didn’t, but it remains to be seen if these kids will. I think it’s also a beautifully ironic thing to note by their definition of what they believe grooming is, when specifically teaching kids that lgbt people exist or teaching kids anything period (none of this stuff is actual grooming in any definition of the word btw), is grooming, what are they supposed to call this? Bc if I go by their definition of what grooming is, this is grooming(once again how these ppl define grooming),But they wouldn’t say that bc it’s not being done by an lgbt person. These ppl r putting children in more harm and other children in more harm by teaching them these things? They don’t care about kids. Children get bullied for being trans by kids who watch things like this or hav parents who talk like these ppl do. My mums friends, young daughter through primary school and now I think she’s in intermediate school, has gotten bullied so much a lot of it bc they assume she’s trans, which she isn’t it affects cis children too. Both the clips highlight the importance of personal beliefs and how personal beliefs shape our everyday life. When people make light of personal beliefs and dismiss them as "nothing" it ignore that people have these beliefs and it shapes their whole existence in life and the behaviors and actions. Personal beliefs shape our reality, therefore that those kids think it is "funny" to hate trans people and that drama mama hating Halloween are choosing to live a very miserable life.
