This song *is* 1979. It's a song by a one-hit wonder band out of London UK with a weird name whom nobody knew, and a huge hit song that defied categorization: It's a little bit Guitar Rock, a little bit Disco, and a little bit New Wave with a slight Punk tinge to it. This is an unusual song with an unusual structure, and it builds itself up slowly, and it completely works. This is basically a perfect song, and it encapsulates its time period so well.

Hi Art! If you live in Jacksonville, maybe you've been to see my friend Jonathan Brock and/or h I s mom Celinda Pink, a great blues singer! Perfect minimalist song--everything is understated but deep, from the performances to the lyrics. The dude's face speaks from far away. Oh and btw, that black dude in the sunglasses was a badass.

Jamal, you are a great soul! I went through a very difficult divorce a few years ago and this is one of the songs that helped me through it. I also enjoyed watching your videos. Your loving, kind and peaceful manner was a welcome distraction from the pain I was going through. It was also reassuring to be reminded that there are good people like you in the world.
