The math works! I think the problem is that people go to a public range by them selfs. They shoot big ass targets that are shot to hell so they can’t see where there hitting. You can get away if you have a camera on a spotter or a buddy to help you spot. I started shooting rocks or other small things at the range. It helped a lot. I can dope new guns or a buddy’s gun pretty quick now. No phone or kestrel needed.

Who was spotting for me in real-time in the video ? What camera was on the target, besides the Go Pro to film the impacts ? A precision rifle shooter should be able to spot his own impacts, recoil management allows this

@@SHLowlight I guess I should of been more specific. At my local range and most public ranges you can’t go paint targets and they are super shot up with holes in them. It’s very hard to see exactly where your bullet hits like a freshly pained target does. I totally agree with proper fundamentals you should be able to spot your shot. With a camera on a spotter you can go back and see exactly where it hit if your trying to true data. The better of a shooter you are the easier it gets. Thanks for the reply frank hope ya feel better.

Good video, I have been watching your videos for years and I have been wanting to get into long range shooting for years. I'm now in a life situation that allows me to do it and I'd like to go to a training course as I get started rather than just dive in. Can you recommend something in Northern California? Or at least within a days drive?

Great video. On a separate note, does anyone known what is going on with Prime Ammunition? Ordered 200 round case of 6.5 Creedmoor over 2 months ago. Just received an email saying they can not fill the order with the 130 grain otm and that if I still want my order the soonest I could even hope for delivery is July 2021. Are they going out of business again? Frank always speaks so highly of Prime. I sent multiple emails and called. No response!! Has anyone else had this problem. I know the ammunition shortages are part of the problem but the customer service from Prime has not been very good. Hopefully someone will read this and maybe we can start a positive conversation on how to help Prime get out all our orders.

Thankyou for the information. I purchased the case directly off of Prime' s website. There was not a group purchase available when I ordered. I have been calling Jim at Prime as well as sending him emails inquiring into the order status. Respectfully, I know the ammunition shortages are affecting everyone. I meant no disrespect to Frank or to Prime ammunition. Thankyou for the feedback and I will make sure to go on SHLowlight and get involved there. Thankyou again.

Yes I replied to Jim after the email was sent. The email stated that the order would not be available till July of 2021 so I elected to accept the 144 grain SMK substitute offer. The email also stated the order would be delivered by approximately Dec 24 of 2020. I sincerely appreciate the communication on this. I did not know who else to reach out to. Thankyou for taking your the time to make a phone call. I really appreciate that. The order is for my dad John so hopefully there was no confusion on that. I know he has reached out again this morning to Prime and has not received any response. I know the current environment has really put a damper on ammunition sales. I really do appreciate the response on this. Respectfully, Aaron Beaulieu

So how did you come up with the proper "X-factor" numbers? Is it different for different calibers/loads?
@SHLowlight
3 жыл бұрын
We doped Gravity, all objects fall at the same rate, we used data we collected and saw a 223 does the same thing as a 338, been over a year with it, try it, free and easy to use, nothing to lose at all but a few rounds of ammo. We found the percentage of the drop is the same regardless, the only thing we can't do is fix the shooter errors, if the shooter is good, the math is money. Plus you can tweak the X-Factor, though not necessary, we use it every single class, never fails us. Works better than a App
