Must admit I have a cabinet with too many "Used to be Chinese/Indian/Jamaican" takeout containers as well as a few ""Used to be margarine" containers. Regarding Sprite, I remember there was this fabulous Sprite commercial with a group of tough, hard looking black men playing what looked like a game of street basketball, using ebonic slang and introducing themselves with names like D-train, etc., only for the director to yell "Cut" and the actor suddenly began talking with British accents, complaining that they are, Shakespearean trained actors, and what they have to do in order to work. I loved that commercial.

I love how when Tom Hanks was on here, he was locked in, but when T'Challa is there, he's completely clueless for most the game. It's the other side of your point you made in the Hanks video about socio-economic status being more significant for your life experience than race.

Great video! Black Jeopardy is a great SNL skit. Chadwick Boseman playing the straight man to the comedy was perfection. He was taken from us too soon. I would have love to seen him in so many more roles. And he also came across as a really good human. RIP Mr. Boseman.

As a Southern white person I can tell you we season everything - but living in the West I can also tell you that potato salad thing is real outside of the South. We had a guest over for Thanksgiving who was from New England and she brought stuffing with oysters in it, Get out ma’am.

Bavarian Kartoffelsalat in this house. Vinegar, oil, bacon, onion, herbs, s&p. No mayo. No grapes or raisins or nuts or any other b.s. We like our BBQ, and you need a proper potato salad for proper pulled pork and ribs.

@@jamesrawlins735 I've seen it before. I thought those raisins were dead flies. I yelled out "What the f*ck are these dead flies doing here!?!? Who the hell left the potato salad out too long?!?!?" Instead of ragging on me, I got support from others at the picnic. Needless to say, that was the last time any potato salad ever showed up with raisin flies in them.

My theory for why Sprite is the black soda is that when you can only afford one 12-pack or one 2-liter per grocery visit, you're getting the one everyone drinks. And while Sprite is nobody's favorite pop, nobody doesn't drink Sprite.

i know it's fashionable now to bash well-done steaks, but this white boy expects them to cook his food. nowadays people apparently struggle to understand this. i've had to send back steaks on multiple occasions for being bright pink when i very clearly asked for "well done". a good steak is a good steak; it doesn't need to be undercooked to be delicious and easy to eat. and i'll politely enjoy both kinds of potato salad.
