This is very true i find that trying to hard you tend to over think things set the bar to high which in turn makes u more tense throws your cueing off or u hit far to hard or worry about missing shots or over hitting things or even gripping cue too hard therefore have to change the way you play and think take a relaxed approach don’t set the bar to high in play play differently to your abilities in matches and practice on areas that needs work on no point blaming the cue or balls only a bad sportsman will do that you have to accept where you as a player are going wrong and change the way you play start over again even cos once u start getting bad habits its hard to break away from it but sometimes its the only way to succeed !!!

I`ve beaten my nephew many times but as i get older it getting tougher with nerves creeping in and maybe losing that desire to win anymore or maybe i want him to win because of his anger at losing, i can take it on the chin when i lose but for him its his life, i told him to control your temper and forget about the shots hes missed , i can do it and i think it helps to win!

Michael Broadbent I keep beating my son too and by quite a margin. He has never beaten me and is used to getting the balls out of their pockets. It’s good for him because he knows where all the colours go now, he just struggles with reaching the blue to replace it. I might get him his own cue for his 5th birthday this September.

Having completed my first season in league snooker, playing for two teams, captaining one of them, I have a clearer perspective on this great video. I had a few games where I lost to a player who I know I was better than, and I didn't want to beat them I think, I felt like I shouldn't win yet and that I didn't deserve to just arrive on the scene and win. I'm not that good by the way! But I haven't been playing long and I can see now that I picked the game up quite easily, even though I had to practice every day (actually thinking about it in that sense maybe I didn't pick it up easily, rather I just put in the effort required?) Silly really. I can't wait for the next season as I feel now like I'm not a total noob and that I can play my own game. I don't quite understand why I felt like I shouldn't win, maybe there's some psychology thing going on, but I'm glad I'm out of that phase. Again, great content Mr FromLife.

It sounds like the protocol is to first say I am in Brisbane AUSTRALIA. Yes, great content and very well put together with great effort. Wondering if these are all your insights or an accumulation? I realise a professional is only great because he has been helped by wiser souls. Practised plus wisdom equals greatness. A bit of natural talent I guess is needed to get the ball rolling. The next chapter could be about competing and the process of becoming a champion. It is like tennis. You need to be alot better than the best before you will beat them.

Hi, I really enjoy your videos. I made significant improvement in my game after learning from them. Yet I still struggle putting the black from its spot and getting good position. I play without any side spin, is this a problem regarding this matter?. Do we need to use side in the back and cushion close balls to continue our beak? Could you make a video of putting the black of its spot with maintaining a good position from high and low angles? Thanks you so much

I was thinking about this today. How a lot of players try too hard and defeat themselves. And how ronnie doesn't do that he just plays what will be will be. Is it luck that he has that mind set. I think he has learnt over the years to have this mind set. So it's not all luck

Hi, I have a question on snooker psychology. Should we be thinking differently in solo practice than in a real match? For instance, in a real match do you think more about cue ball control as opposed to in a solo practice where you are more observant about your pre-shot routine and straight cueing? In other words, in a real match do you play more by instinct than in practice where you're thinking and observing more about your technique? Regards, Pritam Regards, Pritam

Much learns from Break From Life and improve snooker playing. it is great channel. I started to play snooker a round a year by having billiards experiences. Anyways I have some problems so that I can only play well in the first few frames and after all I went badly with many mistakes over potting even an easy one. I try to shape and patient my mind to keep like it starts but it still the same. Pls let me know any method to improve! Thanks from Cambodia
