Dunno if it comes up later but: Just watching the start of the video shows a major advantage of the epoxy glue. After you glued the styrene you could cut through the glued bits with no problem at all! With PVA glue or grip adhesives I ran into trouble trying that.

I wish I had seen the likes of this when I used to build diorama's in the forces, as the problems I and others like me used to have was immense but had we known that today a solution could have been applied - oh how life could have been much easier! Thanks Luke as usual nice job and I guess tonight you'll be on your way home from Salute!

I like making the weeds, however I learned quickly to remove the medal band from brush head. They have glue on the end and you just use a knife to cut a piece. Of coarse I don't know how there made in the UK. I love your work and love making dioramas, Thanks for all the advice and tutorials.

It is odd that the tank, rather than being the focus of the diorama, actually seems to detract a bit from the look of the piece. The natural forms are so good.

To make it more realistic there should be more snow on the grass than on the ground, because its hotter on the ground than on the cold grass.

Tell you what would be super handy (assuming it's not too much of a ball ache for you) would be the little 'i' links that pop up in the top right corner that link to the relevant vids you've done, such as how to make sculptamold or the soil ground cover, painting rocks etc. Otherwise thumbs up!

For someone looking to get started on terrain making like this, what do you suggest a good selection of starting materials would be? Tools, flocks, moulds etc? Your vids have got me wanting to have a go. By all means suggest your own products in place of other companies, you have my support mate.

How much is the average shipping costs to Canada generally? You have some killer turf/flock that looks very nice and that straw... Would save TONS of time rather than getting the lengths I want and setting them in hot glue and having to manipulate them until the glue cools enough, ugh!

Hi Luke how are you?I tried your honemade sculptamold technique a few times with different materials and i got intresting results.I tried it with t.p and ceramic adhesive powder it worked but it looked clumpy and the adhesive came off so it was like t.p formed into a hill but worked pretty well after varnishing it heavily. Then i bought some of the "fast drying plasters" ridgips d11 i think and i was like this couldnt dry that fast so its fine but when i mixed up a batch to make rocks from a foil mould (as a test before the sculptamold)it litterally dried and hardened in the cup when mixing ;) then i made the sculptamold and it was good but i couldt smooth it out because it was allready dry when i tried to smooth it.So i guess i need slower drying plaster :) cheers
