Hello Erik!!! Very much enjoy the content and as many others have pointed out your use of music is well utilized not to mention very soothing but never over done. Also your understanding that most people can figure out what’s going on without having to explain, all in all you are the best of the best..... I do have a question, are you aloud to a drone? :-)

One of the greatest films I've seen so far on KZitem. It shows why some people choose to undergo harsh weather conditions out in the nature and what they get as a return in emotions. Especially when they are on they own even if it's not the safest thing to do. Just amazing, well done!

Thank you Erik for All you do, your an artist and a inspiration, not only to me but to a whole generation. After the industrial revolution, when going to work in a factory became common place, we as a people lost our connection to nature, our grandfather's didn't pass down the love for the outdoors. Now people are totally disconnected, all the while being "connected" to other people in a unnatural way.

A surprising snowshoe video from a Scandinavian where skis are the "go-to" form of snow travel. Thanks for this example if "deep winter" camping. Winter camping: "Early to bed, late to rise." BTW, nice pulk. I have the MSR Lightning Ascent snowshoes but MUCH prefer my old Atomic TM 22 Telemark skis with climbing skins for steeper terrain. For the temperatures in your video I have an Eddie Bauer Peak XV -30 F. down parka that looks just like your parka and an LL Bean -20 F. down sleeping bag and winter insulated air mattress. My boots are SCARP TM 3 insulated backcountry ski boots. The removable liners go inside my sleeping bag at night.

I really like those 3/4 length gators. -27ºC brrrr. I slept in a two person tent in -20ºC when I was much younger, mid twenties I guess. It was a lot of fun... It was in a small nature preserve where the university had a large wolf pen. I wanted to hear them howling in the middle of the night. Guess I slept too deeply. I woke up to a big white shaggy dog checking out my camp...

Given the choice I chose skis 98% of the time, unless I'm in steep and heavily wooded terrain. Then I use MSR Lightning Ascent 'shoes. I recently bought some eucalyptus firewood. It is extremely heavy, hard and long burning. I'm going to split it into finger sized pieces to burn in my Trail Designs Sidewinder sheet titanium cone stove. With the Inferno gassifier insert it burns HOTTT! The ashes are white. BTW, your "dark skies" show a beautiful night sky view many "earthlings" seldom see. Thank you.

Very intense and crisp, sounds like things are on the edge of breaking. It takes my breath away. I love the ceremony of building the fire; it's my holy moment. The shots at 4:50, 4:59, 8:00 & 8:24 are perfect for blowing up and framing. As a youngster I used one of my uncle's pairs of snowshoes (the big ones with rawhide webbing and white birch) to follow him into the woods; I usually got left behind to catch up :) Yours look like a dream to use. Were those cowbells at the end? Happy Solstice Erik and Take Care. Donna
