Thx for a nice video again! How wunderful to live in that climat, beeing able to take such nice trips. Here in Sweden I took my bike ( CB750) out for the first trip this season yesterday! Sunny and dry roads but snow in the fields. It was fantastic to ride again! But when I woke up following day! It had been snowing during the night!! Ride safe! I'm looking forward to your next video :-)

That was really awesome. Great road trip, excellent way to portray a great trip with what was, let's face it, mere snippets of what must have been tons of riding, but really got the feel and experience across. Wifey watches very few vids but happened to be passing as your "here's Wendy..." intro played so she stopped and watched the whole video, loving it and saying "wow" and things like that a lot :) She said I seem to have found "my twin" with you, as everything you said about riding, about road choices, about how the landscape moved you, reminded her of me. Adaminiby! That's where 02BigKev lives - he was just up here visiting too! Wifey & I had a taste of the Victorian high country a few months ago - went camping on the Howqua Trail and did a pretty extreme 4WD drive up to Bluff and Lovick's Huts, back down via King Billy Trail... hard core but I now have plans to take the X up there... with some mates and a support vehicle ideally ;) Really enjoyed that mate, thanks!

Mike Doyle Hi Mike, I live in Sydney and the roads are very congested. After 40mins or so outside it starts to improve. Our roads are rough and straight in the main. If they are smoothish and twisty then they are well policed. If you like long distance riding at speed limit pace it is great. I personally prefer riding in europe, in the summer. The exception is probably Tasmania. They dont hand around there on the curvey roads. NZ south island is nice too in the summer other than the motorhomes holding you up.

Fantastic trip mate. Jindabyne is a favourite of ours as well, that whole area is brilliant. The bakery at Adaminy served the best apple turnovers...yep it's the small things that make the journey. Have you a map of the route? My wife is currently looking at CB500X as her next bike. Thanks again for sharing 👍

Placepics - can’t go wrong with the CB500X. I’d be happy to ride one myself. I lowered it for Wendy and she loves it. Plenty of power and handles well. We went back to Adaminaby bakery twice - I had one of their cream buns both times!

Looks like a beautiful part of the world....roads and scenery look fabulous....nice easy pace....enjoyed the video👍 Can you tell me what tankbag you're using as it looks a perfect fit for the NC. Is it one specific to the new style tank with bespoke fittings or strapped on with bungees or similar. Thanks.
@AfricaTwin-Stuff
6 жыл бұрын
Alan Henderson - it’s not NC specific. It’s actually for a can am Spyder. Has clips on the bottom that clip to the back of the lid and a strap that goes around and under the front of the lid. m.ebay.com.au/itm/Nelson-Rigg-CAS-455-Can-Am-Spyder-Tank-Bag-Black/382405362064?epid=714777060&hash=item590922c190:g:us0AAOSwwlZao2Pm

Loved your video. I ride a CB500 X like Wendy and was wanting to confirm the wind deflector that she uses on top of her screen. Sadly, I suffer a lot of buffeting around my helmet and have tried a number of strategies including a larger GIVI screen (but to no avail). Is she happy with it and where you did get it from? Thanks in advance...
@AfricaTwin-Stuff
6 жыл бұрын
Anthony Limpus - yep the deflector does help. You need to experiment with position and angle to suite yourself. They are cheap to buy and easy to fit and adjust so worth a try. Here is a link to the ones we bought. m.ebay.com.au/itm/Universal-Motorcycle-Clip-Windshield-Screen-Deflector-Extension-Spoiler-Protect/312038297679?hash=item48a6ee904f:g:qyEAAOSwTmtaTZIl

MidLifeBiker - just over 2,000km all up. So over 6 days it’s taking it very easy. Mind you, each day we have to fit in a late breakfast, morning tea, lunch, then arrive in time for an afternoon nap! Bike comfort was fine. As good as some and better than many of the 34 bikes I’ve owned.

Just out of curiosity, what fuel do you use in your nc750 here in Australia? I've been putting in 98 but but wanting to put cheaper fuel in. The manual says the bike can have 10% ethanol in it like e10, but not sure.
@AfricaTwin-Stuff
6 жыл бұрын
Rags 2 Riches - I think the NC would run ok on 91/ethanol as it is such a low tuned engine. But as it uses so little fuel I always use 95, or 98 if 95 isn’t available.

@AfricaTwin-Stuff
5 жыл бұрын
marcin piak - the CB500X is a brilliant machine. Lighter than the NC but with almost as much power and almost the same fuel consumption. Just have to rev it harder. If I didn’t have the NC I’d be happy to ride the 500X as my bike.
@marcinpiak3540

Thanks for reply. I'm torn between the two. At just 5' 8" I can get more of my feet down on the CB, it's also lighter, and at 63 years old and slightly dodgy knees...... But the NC has that extra power, feels so secure and planted and I love the looks of it. Methinks more thinking! Ride safe.
