Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) played lead guitar on this track. Page was one of the busiest session guitarists in England even after joining The Yardbirds.

HIGH to all of JM’s Subscribers. I ask that you “Like” this comment if you agree that JM needs to add another new group to his awesome Playlist…. Steppenwolf…. This group helped create the attitudes of the 60’s as much as any other group and still has massive influence on society. I ask for a Special Request Triple Play…. Back To Back To Back…. “Born To Be Wild”…. “Magic Carpet Ride”…. “The Pusher”

Doing Reactions to music you have never heard can have various consequences you may not have expected. Like walking through a dark forest blindfolded being guided by people you don’t know much about. The anticipation for both is what is entertaining…. Do you step into a deep hole and enjoy the experience?, do you step on a pile of something that stinks and you have to wash off your shoes?, do you walk straight into a tree that turns out to be a massive forest from one artist?. Do you trip over a Pot Of Gold? Like this song. I just smile watching the process.

@RicoCostas317, too bad that it doesn't seem the electric version of Catch The Wind, which used to be on the Donovan's Greatest Hits Compilation, is available. At least I haven't been able to find it for quite some time. The "folk" version is ok, rather Dylanesque, but the electric version I always found quite beautiful. Can't wait to dive into Jarvis's reaction on "Season of the Witch"!

Thanks so much for reviewing this song. I think I suggested it to you. My birthday is on Devil’s Night. When this song came out I liked it so much. I saw him in concert at the University of Detroit in the late sixties. He was so warm. He sat crosslegged on the stage. I’ve seen him on a talk show recently. He’s still humorous and warm.

Donovan was always surprising, smack in the middle of what was current, but also a little weird and off to the side 😄 his unique perspective I suppose 🤘🏽 Great response!

Pick up every stitch means to pay attention to every detail. The song is not as literal as it sounds. It's more about observing change. Could be political or social in nature - awareness of social revolution is my guess knowing the year and knowing Donovan.
