Congratulations on your air layering. I remember that video. I used a 2 liter pop bottle, and wet peat moss, tape and aluminum foil. I was really excited when it worked. (Concord grape). You must have picked a time from the Almanac, as the warm winter so far. Anyway, go NUTS! :)

Hey Jason, over from Gregs Discord. I’ve done the air layering for Apple trees. Will be doing more this year for elderberry and other plants. That rolling device is top notch.

The only one that made it was the one that I put directly into the ground at the end of the season. MAYBE if I had let them come along in a nice indoor setting, I could have nursed the others. Starting earlier would be better, I think .. but yeah .. FANTASTIC!!! .. I hope it doesn't destroy the house when it falls 😜

Did they bud out again in the spring? That’s where I always fail

In pots over winter they failed .. but one in the ground over winter took, and is becoming a nice pecan shrub

@@Green.Country.Agroforestry Awesome! I have always been hesitant about them even if I thought it could work well. The lack of a tap root seems concerning. But I have a lot of acreage where I live and can’t afford to buy as many as I want lol
