This song was first recorded by Keith Whitley, who ended up dying at a very young age. He was a superstar in country music, and his legend has only increased since his death. After this remake was released, a version was made that inserted Whitley's voice in certain places, and created a duet out of it. It was played on the radio quite a bit.

This is a great cover of this song, Alison Krause is an amazing singer, but do your selves a favor and check out Keith Whitley. He was a brilliant song writer, the feeling and emotion he could put into words are legendary. I'm No Stranger To The Rain, probably his most famous song besides this one.

The gentleman playing the small guitar (which is actually called a mandolin and primarily played in bluegrass music), If you want to check out another Allison Krause video she sings one with Brad Paisley called Whiskey Lulliby another great song and their voices go together so well together.

My husband is so shy with a background of stuttering- this fits how I feel about him completely. She and Dolly sing like birds.

Jackie Wilson- Lonely Teardrops, I think from 1960. You want to see that live performance. He's great! Elvis was one of his biggest fans, and his friends.

Alison is my most favorite American singer, her voice is exquisite. So pure, so delicate, so sweet, just ethereal and magical.
