The series is dope, but it’ll be better if Premier hit the pads and showed u how each individual track on the 60 sound like. Like how Alchemist showed on his Masterclass episode. Broke down the beats he made for Nas & Schoolboy Q. Kinda boring just hearing a 7 min story and nothing in the 60 itself 🤷🏻♂️

I remember as a kid I didn't really pay attention to producers, only later as a teen I started getting interested in who made the beats. When I looked up who was the producer of my fav songs it was almost always preemo and of course my fav joint on one of my fav albums reasonable doubt was also a premier joint. Preemo is probably the most important person in the history of rap. This guy made the tracks that defined the careers of most of the best rappers of all time.

What a great story. Especially re: the overdue plaque and the pendant. Please, please, PLEASE do an episode for SO GHETTO. Not only my personal favorite Preem beat, but also because of my little connection to the record being made. I had made and pressed up a DJ "tools" record that same year called 5 Fingers of Death and I added that less than 1 second sound which I sampled from a Godzilla VHS. A few months later I hear the exact same sound on that masterpiece beat. I know I didn't actually make the sound that wound up on the song, but I felt I helped to midwife the birth of it in a very small way if that makes any sense. And with Preem being my hero, it's been a secret honor that I'm quite proud of. Bless. Paul
