Jazz jokes...they are awful and free. My mentors used to tell these constantly and they rubbed off. I used to roll my eyes, now I tell them!

Hey brother! For me as a German speaker, the third joke was spoken too quickly! So sad, I didn't understand ... Is it possible to put it in a few words? Thank you in advance and a happy new year! Cheers, Günther, Austria!

hi Bruce, just come across your videos and am enjoying them very much. I have a question on this one - is there a formula for applying augmented triads? e.g. in this case over a D-7, what would the augmented triads be? Thanks!
@brucegregori
3 жыл бұрын
Actually yes. IT is a fairly deep concept but basically an augmented chord can create three major and their relative minor triads as to why the form works well on something like so what. Shoot me an email and we can discuss more - brucegregori@gmail.com

How do I comment "I love your playing and the amazing tone on that beautiful guitar" on all your videos at once?! Oh and do you have some basic lessons on constructing lines for little old blokes who wish to learn jazz improve from scratch (or nearly scratch anyway)?
@brucegregori

Sure we can work on that - send me an email at brucegregori@gmail.com and we work it out!

Just watched around ten lessons for the song "So What"/modal jazz... I must tell you the truth: all of them quite poor! All of them only hunting for scales and phrases, quite poor. The very secret is to feel 16 bars!!! No teacher values rhythm and/or form... in fact it's much much more important! Think of it, students! And, most of all: THINK OF IT TEACHERS !!!

Sus chords were very popular. Miles like not having the 3rd in the mix. Check out my melody on Giant Steps.
