"blockers do a lot of work against imperial". One of the dumbest things I've heard in a while. Unless the blocker in Magna X or Shakkou then can't block when suspended

MagnaX can still be a big contender, we were also keeping the new Mother+Shoto combo from next set in mind which is probably the best blocker set up in the game next to Tyrants redirects. There’s other small instances as well that can interrupt imperials game plan but yeah, our phrasing should have been something more along the lines of “Certain blockers/redirects CAN do work against imperial”. - TJ

Ruling question. If i play out a dynasmon bt13 and the play omnimon ace to pop an imperialdramon with partition. Would the dynasmon eff happen at the same time or after the partition?

Partition is an interruptive effect due to the wording “when this digimon would leave the battle area”, this mean it would trigger next in the sequence after deleting imperial, after partition resolves then dynas would resolve next in the sequence deleting the newly played level 4’s

Just to be clear, I am guessing we don't rule check until after the card is complete right? I was trying to understand "Simultaneous triggering with rule checks" change for a a while but after rereading it and listening to you guys, I assume the new order of operation is: 1. Play hellscythe 2. Hellscythe minus dp. *Then* plays a card 3. Rule check. If the opponent digimon is 0 dp, it is deleted. 4. On play effect 5. On delete effect Let me know if I am incorrect. I just want to understand the rules more.

so the way it currently works, if you -DP something to 0DP with hellscythe and play out something that has an on play; the on play triggers during the option resolution, but the on deletion triggers after since the rules cannot be checked in the middle of the effect. this causes the on deletion effect to be the latest trigger and has it activate first (last in first out). with the rules update coming on the 31st, effects that trigger because of a rule check that follows an effect are now considered simultaneous triggers instead of one after the other; so then you follow turn player priority on simultaneous triggers

@@PinOytaku so the biggest mistake I keep making in locals is that as so as something is at 0 dp we would delete the digimon before we complete the whole card effect, what ever it is. Thats the main thing I wanted clarity on. But thanks you, this will be something I will pay attention to from now on
